Heatherwood Apartments

I lived at Heatherwood Apartments in Madison, TN for three years. This was my first apartment, and I tried to extend grace where appropriate, especially during the transition in management. Unfortunately, conditions declined significantly after the property was taken over by Dyer Management. The property is poorly maintained. Trash regularly accumulates around the complex, leaves are left piled up, broken steps go unrepaired, and lights in the breezeways frequently do not work. While tenants are responsible for some cleanliness, there is little to no visible effort from management to maintain the property overall. Maintenance response times are consistently delayed. Let me make a recent updated review. Do not move here! The apartments were nice until Dyer Management took over. They were privately owned prior and was sold at the end of last year. The new owners have Dyer Management to oversee things and they are awful! They do not care about the tenants nor the property. It's a small complex only 2 units. Dyer does not have maintenance so it is trash everywhere on the property now. People over fill the dumpster so it is trash everywhere. If you contact Dyer about it they email a generic letter stating that it is the tenants responsibility to keep the grounds clean. Our air filters were not replaced nor provided before the summer. We were told that is also the tenants responsibility. It is dog poop all over the property as well because people don't pick

I've lived here since May of 2020. We loved it the first month until Property Connection took over. Luckily our lease was written up before all these ridiculous hidden fees came into play. I've contacted them over 6 times about my upstairs neighbors blasting loud bass music and playing instruments at all hours and they've done nothing but tell me they'll take care of it. That started in August. Today, someone literally sawed off a piece of my car and the cameras they have placed all around the complex aren't functional so I can't find who did it. The apartments are nice, washer and dryer, but it isn't worth it. The area is unsafe and management doesn't care about the tenants. The old manager was wonderful, but these new people are crooks. I only called the front desk and Lisa was rude off the bat. I was asking about a 2 bedroom apartment and was going to ask about a 1 as I might opt for the 1 bdroom instead, and she cut me off saying there were no 2 bedrooms only 1 and to try somewhere else. Afterwards, she disconnected. You won’t haha ever to worry about me calling no more. Her energy was not welcoming.

This is one of the best places to live in the Madison area. The rates are good and the management team is great. Mrs. Lisa is the best very understanding and will work with you. Love her so much!!
