Elderwood Residences at Wheatfield

My dad was living with me for a while when we both concluded that he needed his own space. I went online and looked up independent living facilities in the area and found a list. I called Elderwood first and made an appointment with Nicole at Elderwood Residences at Wheatfield. At the end of our tour at the community, Dad and I turned to one another said "This is it" - We didn't want to look anywhere else. During the time my father spent here he had his independence in a very clean welcoming community, with beautiful, spacious and bright apartments. Very caring attentive staff. Dad made wonderful friendships and enjoyed having dinner every evening in the dining room. He took part in a lot of community outings including going to the BPO. He told me the Buffalo Philharmonic was much better

My father lives here in his own apartment (after my mom passed away) and Elder wood has really come through. They also took excellent care of my mom during her decline with dementia. The facility is spotlessly clean; no odors lurking around. The administration is totally accessible, hats off to Tammy Ooft. I never worry about Dad's safety here.

We moved here to Elderwood 10 years ago and have never been disappointed by the staff, their professionalism, their friendliness and their service to us. The apartments are beautiful and spacious. Our patio home is the right size, has an attached garage and we love to call it home.

Nurses need to quit lying. I've been coming here as a contractor for 10 years, I know how to do my job and I know how you're supposed to do yours as it pertains to my services. Don't blame me when you screw up. Dont make up new rules and procedures and claim "its always been that way." Only nurse I like here is Dave.

My grandma enjoys living here. She lives in the independent living apartments which includes amazing dinners every day, weekly detailed apartment cleaning, WiFi, and an incredible amount of planned activities within elderwood and elsewhere.
