After living at the "luxurious" Sunrise Bay for many years with mixed feelings, I am finally submitting this review. I initially gave a five-star review to Sunrise Bay as a friend previously worked for that branch and asked her friends to submit five-star reviews with an employee's name so the employee may be eligible for a perk. Not sure if that's still a policy, so just be mindful reading the five-star reviews. This month, a vacant unit above mine had a pipe burst, flooding my bathroom and a portion of my bedroom. They don't want the public to know what they put me through, so they keep removing my reviews. the Consumer Review Fairness Act is a real thing, and they keep inaccurately removing my review because they don't want the truth to be known. Despite following all move-out procedures, thoroughly cleaning the apartment, and documenting its condition with photos and videos, my deposit was not returned on time as required by New Jersey law (N.J.S.A. 46:8-19 to 26). Looking back, I should have known there would be issues when the staff attempted to demand an additional security deposit after I had already received my offer letter. A loved one of mine lives at Sunrise Bay in Galloway New Jersey, a property managed by Edgewood Properties. A pipe recently burst in the vacant upstairs unit above her. When the maintenance workers first came to start work on making the unit livable by replacing the carpet, painting, etc. to fix the damage caused, we were told by them to throw her clothing on the bed and they will take care of moving the furniture. We came back to check on the place and saw that they left her door open for we are not sure how long. Another time we checked on the progress as we had few updates, we immediately saw that the unit was left at 90 degrees because they leaned her mattress against the thermostat. Would not recommend any property built by this building company to anyone. Unfinished promises for the last 5 years and 10 years for other residents. Really bad at taking responsibility of their unfinished work. Did not complete our 3 months checklist in 2020 and when one year checklist in 2021 citing the handyman is on long break. It's hard to digest that this huge company had only 1 handyman at work. We gave up on following up. I would recommend avoiding buying houses from this company at all costs. and this review is echoing the voice of each and every owner at Celebrations South Plainfield.
