Dunbarton Apartments Matt/Grants

Dunbarton Apts phase II has been completely renovated in 2025 and is leasing up now. Phases I & III have been previously renovated.

I applied to this complex in 2024. Last year in May I received a notice that I was removed, so I called and left messages to finally get a letter in July stating that I was approved for a non rental assisted 2bd apartment which I can’t afford on 1300 monthly. I never applied for non rental assistance, I was advise to come in and refill application. I advised I couldn’t due to transportation issues and I live 2 hours away the lady stated Due to me not being able to make it to the office to email all my items which I did and I would be placed in next available. I haven’t heard anything. Once again I’m calling and leaving messages as I did previously with no answers. I called another Severn site and was advised that I’m not even on the waiting list and to call and see why or try to come up.

They gave a waitlist number 6 months ago I called today and they said I was removed from the lists .. with no explanation or anything of that short the she telling me about another complex that I applied for that I asked to be removed of the list for “holly brook” not Dunbarton . How do she even know this information? She was rude didn’t let me explain myself .

NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE This is not a safe place to live. There are shooting and people dieing. From people dealing and selling drugs. The manager knows what is going on and who is selling the drugs and doesn't do anything about it. This is not a safe place to live. Elderly people are freezing and dying in there apartment because things are not being fixed. An elderly man died of a heart attach because the kids were harassing him all the time. The owner of the property said he doesn't have enough money to fix the apartments up. The manager does inspection every three months and the same thing are still wrong month after month. Mantaince steals cabinet that were for the residents apartments and put them in his own kitchen. I have proof of everything I am saying. The manager and mantaince

The landlords break every single law a landlord must follow, the police regularly conduct raids on the wrong apartments, not up to USDA codes, they constantly go into your apartment without permission. You can't go to school or have a job because you have to babysit your apartment.
