I recently visited the sales office at Crosswinds in Kyle, TX to explore a few quick move-in properties. I was informed by the sales representative that I could place a 24-hour hold on a home to give me time to decide. I agreed to this and left the office with the understanding that I had until the next day to make a decision after discussing it with my family. However, just a few hours later, I received a message stating that I needed to sign the contract by 9 p.m. the same day—completely going against what I was initially told. When I questioned this, I was informed that the hold was not binding and was simply a courtesy. Unfortunately, the property was sold to someone else, and my hold was not honored.
