Chestnut Hill Apartments

Management fails to enforce rules, maintain safety of residents, and outright ignores complaints with no attempt to resolve issues. If you’re okay with smoke coming into your apartments at all hours in a smoke free complex, dogs barking at you when they aren’t allowed by lease terms, rent hikes of almost 100 per year with no increase in services, and utterly disgusting management and safety of common areas; then you might enjoy this slumlord paradise. Otherwise, spend your money with another company. Edit: post management response. I have tried to contact you multiple times only to be ignored. Don't come here lying to people like you are caring, because you don't care at all, so long as you get the rent check every month.

I've been here for almost 2 years and I have enjoyed it. The only issue thus far for me is the laundry rooms. Either you have to call and have them open, and once you do because others have the same thoughts, it's a race against each other to use the only 2 washing machines, and then you have tenants who leave their stuff for hours in the machine hindering others to use it and then you run the risk of that day the maintenance person decides to lock the door on time and either you never got the opportunity to was or your clothes are stuck in there. The other issue is non residents who, when the laundry room is open, decide to use it for a"smoke" session or squatting which leads to a safety risk for those living in the building, and the best anyone can day is call 911, and we all know that'

There's a bunch of reviews on here that are truly false and fake! This is the most mismanaged apartment complex around in PG county. The manager is terrible! Tells you nothing but lies! The contractors that come to do work are the worst! They do damage rather than fix anything. I've have whole ceilings fall in all over my belongings and that's the only time anything gets done when they have no choice. My apartment has been in need of repair and the manager refuses to do anything. She should be removed! There is a large collection of us tenants that want her gone ASAP! The contractors destroyed my cabinets and now they refuse to replace them even though they have new ones. I have photos and videos and this Must change! They can remove all of the staff except for the young woman in the offic

Was here for almost a year. Was without A/C for almost 2 months during summer of 2024. Experienced financial hardship while taking care of child with special needs. Was directed by assistant property manager Shenna to apply for ERAP (Emergency rental assistance), as she stated we Both have similarities regarding children with disabilities. Told me that my application would be expedited for immediate assistance. Signed the contract stating that they were willing to accept the money from ERAP, all for them to evict me and my son do to our current president not signing the bill yet to release funding to agencies such as ERAP. Going forward with my 2nd week at chestnut hill and i love it! Nice rooms, bathrooms, kitchen area with the bar. Built in microwave works awesome along the HVAC system. Everything is nice and i am satisfied to the fullest. The area is nice, calm, clean & i feel safe and i would recommend this property to any future residents. So far so good and i am happy and blessed to call chestnut hill my new home. I thank the management team for helping us find our new and safe home. I really appreciate you guys!
