Channingway

Channingway has been a great place to stay, with very little to complain about. While I see a lot of negative reviews regarding move-out issues, these seem to come from tenants not taking proper care of their own place. The leasing office has been quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Maintenance is very fast at responding to any issues. While I have experienced some problems with them “completing” my request without coming in, once I respond and say it isn’t finished, they are in within the next hour. The only thing I can complain about is that my dishwasher does not work due to a continuing missing part. The place could definitely be renovated, but for the price, it is well worth it.

I love it Here! Especially the management team! They are always friendly and easy to work with. They are very understanding and accommodating during trying times… They worked so well with myself and I’m sure tons of other tenants during the Gov Shutdown. Their Maintenance team is very good at responding in a timely manner for even the simplest things. They actually replace things and not just put a band aide “on it…. Thank you so much to the entire Team at CHANNINGWAY!!!

I lived here on two separate occasions. Overall, it’s an average place to live, not terrible, but not great either. You get what you pay for. However, the rent increased significantly over time without any noticeable improvements in services or amenities. During my first stay, the only major issue was when the AC went out during a heat wave. We were told to replace the air filter, which obviously didn’t address the problem, and it took about a week before the system was finally repaired. During my second stay, the front door and door frame were rotting. When we requested repairs, the issue was “fixed” with putty instead of replacing the damaged materials. I moved in about a month ago and quite happy with my place. It was clean and smelled like new paint. Yes the wallpaper in the bathroom is peeling in places and dated a bit but I can live with that. It is quiet, I don’t hear my neighbors. For those that have put negative reviews of Chainingway haven’t seen some of the shady, overpriced dumps around the area and believe me there are quite a few. My neighbors and people in the complex are friendly. There doesn’t appear to be any aggressive dogs. The staff in the office are friendly.. Joelyn has been extremely helpful. Emma went through everything when I moved in. Every one in the office was helpful and didn’t experience any rudeness of any sort. I have had a couple of maintenance issues and resolved. I plan on being here for sometime. Co

Do not move here!!! The office is as terrible and shady as all of the reviews say. The day I was supposed to move in, I was told my apartment wouldn’t be ready that day because the carpet was not installed. I had maintenance in and out of my apartment for months trying to fix a dishwasher from the 1990s instead of just replacing it. I had to get my washer replaced. I came home one day to a random maintenance man sitting on my brand new couch. My kitchen sink handle was on backwards. I have not lived here in almost a year and they are still trying to charge me for “pet damages” and for their 30 year old wallpaper coming off when I’ve paid 200 deposit to move in and 400 deposit for pets. I now have a bill for over a $1000 that I am working with an attorney to dispute. Do not trust this place
