Alwell Apartments

I’ve been living here for a couple of weeks and couldn’t be happier. This is one of the most comfortable, upscale, and charming buildings I’ve ever lived in. The design is beautiful, modern yet warm, and it really feels like a true home rather than a typical apartment. I also love that the building isn’t too big, so it already feels like the kind of place where I’ll get to know my neighbors soon. The rooftop is so inviting with amazing views, the gym is huge, and I love that there’s also a pool and a yoga room. Everything feels fresh, modern, and truly luxury. The leasing team is incredible. Every time I walk through the lobby, I’m greeted by friendly faces who genuinely care. The maintenance staff is also amazing and quick to respond if there’s ever an issue. I have lived here for four months and the experience has not justified the high price point. While marketed as a "luxury" building, the management consistently fails on basic maintenance and reliability: Elevator Issues: One elevator has broken down over 20 times during my lease. While repairs are usually quick, a building of this caliber shouldn't have such frequent mechanical failures. Broken Promises: The EV chargers were delayed by nearly five months. We were promised an August installation, but they weren't functional until the new year. Poor Facility Upkeep: General maintenance is neglected. Angel was absolutely exemplary! Angel is very very professional/well groomed/listened intently/never interrupted my multiple questions and paid attention to every detail. This young man is corporate material and should be able to handle almost anything that comes his way. I have been in pharmaceuticals and worked for CDC. Only pros are the staff. Office and maintenance teams are responsive when needed and friendly. 5 stars for them. Everything else is a con. Considering the price point, this building is a huge disappointment. I've been here a few months and the doors starting squeaking already. Took care of it with WD-40. The heater takes forever to work. The grills are weak. Elevators have gone out of service too many times (they are fixed/rebooted/etc quickly). The floors are cheap (even very very light pieces of furniture leave an indentation). The paint on the walls is cheap (paint starts coming off with just a slightly damp microfiber towel when trying to clean a smudge). The walls/ceiling must be extremely thin/cheaply made.
