Alight Stillwater

DO NOT LIVE HERE I would give zero stars if I absolutely could. I have lived in many lack luster places during my time in Stillwater, including the Apex/Milestone fiasco that happened in summer 2024, but this place takes the cake. Do not believe a single word they tell you, they are lying. Even aspects that do make this place appear more “affordable” than other budget friendly apartments, the horrible experiences and other charges will even it out. Starting with utilities, they more often cost $200+ dollars. Even with roommates or not being home very often, it increases your overall payment to at least $600+, even with the lowest rent option. don’t know if it’s because the buildings are built poorly or if it’s their way of making that extra money (they do utilities through their own comp

When we moved into our apartment at Alight Stillwater, it was dirty, there was pet hair all over the place and random items from the previous tenant under the couch cushions. We had to spend a lot of time and effort just to make the apartment livable. Then, when we moved out, we left a small strainer in the sink and were charged a cleaning fee because of it. I genuinely wonder what this cleaning fee is used for, because it’s clearly not going toward cleaning the apartments. Just look at the other reviews — many residents report moving into dirty units. Very disappointing.

Not the nicest apartments in Stillwater, but they are good for the price you’re paying compared to other apartments. WiFi never went out the year I lived there and I was always able to find a parking spot right in front of my apartment. Maintenance always responded in a timely manner and was friendly. Only issues I had was with my packages. Sometimes the leasing office was too lazy to look for my packages and told me that my package hadn’t been delivered, even though I had proof that it had been delivered. They always had some lazy excuse and told me to come back later. There was another instance when I had a package signed for by someone at the leasing office and then it mysteriously disappeared and I had to contact Amazon. Save yourself the money and struggle and don’t live here. The management team was completely unhelpful and they, as well as the maintenance crew, did not aide in most of the maintenance requests submitted. The washing machine simply did not work correctly and they came into the unit three separate times just to look at me and explain how to properly balance a washing machine. We had bugs, mold, AC unit problems, and so much more. We have all email responses from requests submitted that they were “resolved” but they never were correctly fixed. Their response to a previous review from my father stated “there were no requests for these issues” is simply a lie. As the tenant living in the unit, I submitted all of the requests and have email receipts and text logs from maintenance.

Typically I don't get involved unless it happens to me, but 3 students in my office are having issues with this complex. I know parents look at these reviews. You can see by all the negative reviews here that Alight Stillwater has some management issues. Having worked in apartment and house leasing myself, some of the situations that the students are encountering is staggering. This place does inspections, which should be commended, but they document and charge right there for an issue. Okay, one of my students turned in photos at move in with this "issue" clearly shown and it almost matches the photo the complex took. They are charging for something that the tenant didn't do and turned in on their walk through. I wonder if it wasn't a student and not from this area if this would ev
