Alderwood Apartments

We’ve lived here for over a year and never had any issues that others have described. Leslie is a fantastic manager and has always been courteous and welcoming to us. If we do have any maintenance issues, we submit them through the app and they’re handled within a day or two, unless it’s something that needs a specialist, in which case she’ll always reach out and let us know. Most of the residents are friendly, and it’s nice that each unit has a small storage unit that’s included. The gated complex is definitely an added bonus that helps us feel more secure in our home and with our vehicles.

Moved into the unit on a year lease. Stayed in the unit 5 months out of the 12 month lease, continued pay the entire 12 months. As I exited the unit after the 12 month lease, Ms. Leslie upon moving out was too tired per her recorded conversation to do my walk through that was a Thursday. Friday walk through not completed Saturday morning phoned walk through wasn't completed. Phoned Saturday before closing of office walk through completed (I had taken pictures/ recorded unit upon exiting). Ms. Leslie stated unit looked good with the exception of little nails holes from hanging curtains. I then asked what the deductions would be. She stated she would let me know after maintenance did all the repairs and clean the carpet. Me being a current property manager informed her per California law she

After seeing several apartments in San Leandro & Hayward area i was loosing hope until i viewed Alderwood apartments. I toured an upgraded unit with Leslie(property manager) and fell in love with how pretty the unit looked. But most of all i was surprised with how big the unit was. Leslie had worked on her day off to get me approved and moved in on my date of choice.She kept me informed throughout the process. She’s always been really nice and friendly any time i see her. I had put in a maintenance request and it was fixed quick with a follow up call to make sure it was done. The area is well kept and pretty with all the trees & plants.

I love my apartment and my two daughters are so happy here. We thank God for allowing us to find this beautiful apartment and this community is amazing and we love the Manager Leslie and her kindness and professionalism go a long way. I love the maintenance team and very professional services and overall we love this place and our neighbors are friendly. Thank you God for watching over us.

We are still in the process of moving in, which is why I only gave them 4 stars... We recently signed a 1 year lease with Alderwood. The community Director, Leslie, is great. She has been with us every step of the way, patiently and professionally answering any and all questions we have. Any issues we found during our initial inspection of the unit (very minor things), have been taken care of. We are excited to enjoy the amenities the community has to offer, and finalize our move into our new apartment in a few weeks.
