Yorktown Apartments

Scheduled an appointment for a viewing. No one was there. Roamed around looking for someone. Then tried calling multiple times. No one was in the leasing "office" and no one was answering the phones... A resident actually came down and said she'd been keeping an eye out waiting for two hours. She thought I was with the leasing office until I told her I was there for a viewing. Decided to leave after waiting 30 minutes. Not a welcoming experience for a potential resident. If it's this hard now contacting them for a pre-scheduled meeting I can only imagine what it'd be like living here as an actual resident.

I am a current resident here. I had an issue with the AC not working, so I submitted a request through the app. The response was quick, and it was fixed the next day. Everything works well now. The building is clean, the room is nice, and the people here are friendly. The only challenge I experienced was with towing—it was a bit of a learning curve. They take it seriously. If you don’t have a parking sticker, do not park after 8 p.m. Instead, use guest parking, which is located on top of the garage. Now I know.

Farid provided excellent customer service and professionalism. He took my maintenance issue seriously from the start, communicated clearly, and resolved everything thoroughly and efficiently. The work was done perfectly, and it’s clear he takes pride in what he does. Yorktown Apartments is fortunate to have someone as reliable and attentive as Farid on their maintenance team.

DO NOT RENT HERE. first off you will have to pay for common area electric, meaning you’ll have your own comed account you pay for YOUR apt electric but also to keep the lights on in the building. You’ll be treated like dirt when you pay 2200$ for a ONE BEDROOM. If the week is 7 days, elevator works maybe 5 (if you’re lucky). Read more reviews you’ll see more people mention this. There is trash everywhere. It’s like a luxury section 8 apt. I regret moving here more than anything and they will not let you out of the lease early. I wish I had someone tell me all the issues I’d face moving here before I did cause I would have RAN. I will post pictures as factual evidence below. CURRENTLY WE ARE ON DAY 5 OF ZERO HOT SATER FOR DISHES, showering, and laundry. Think twice before Moving here!!!

THE MAINTENANCE TEAM I want to share my honest experience with the service team at this community. The Service Manager, Jose, and his team have been exceptionally professional, polite, and efficient. Every time I’ve needed assistance, they’ve responded quickly and handled everything with care and respect. I also want to mention that I previously left a negative review from my other Google account about the management team, particularly regarding my experience with Amanda, the community manager. However, I feel it’s only fair to recognize the excellent work that Jose and his maintenance team consistently provide. Thank you, Jose and team, for your professionalism and dedication — you truly make a positive difference in this community.
