I would rather be homeless than rent from them again. This was easily the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. I rented from them for less than a month and still had to fight to get my security deposit back. They offer the option to clean the unit yourself, which I did since I was there for under 30 days. Despite this, they charged a cleaning fee without even inspecting the property, claiming it “needed cleaning.” After significant pushback, they eventually agreed to return the deposit—but expect to lose yours unless you’re willing to argue for it. Be sure to read the lease very carefully. They may verbally tell you that self-cleaning is acceptable, but the lease states that professional cleaning is required, which they use against you later. They were super nice and helpful in the beginning, the move in process was smooth and they were quick to act when I had some flooding. I had read a review before moving in about sneaky charges but I didn’t believe them because everything went really well. However when we I moved out, they charged us a lot for damages and cleaning, and charged for another months rent for breaking the lease. However, their terms for charging us wasn’t even on the lease. The workers are super nice but their charges are pretty ridiculous and seems untruthful and unreliable. Edit: the charge that wasn’t on the lease was supposedly because of Washington state law, but after reading the law it didn’t even apply to us. Miles is money hungry and distrustful.

Overall I had a fairly good experience renting from Welcome Home Properties. I had heard a lot of bad things before renting from them and I was very nervous. I am happy to say that I didn't actually have much to be nervous about. I was able to view several properties before applying to any properties which was very nice. We also had two times when we needed maintenance done on the apartment. They had someone there the same day both times and it was fixed very quickly. I also had to request an accommodation, and the staff were very helpful. Every time that I interacted with a staff member was very pleasant. Though, there was a time or two where I directly interacted with Miles Scruggs whom I believe is the owner. He was much more aggressive and abrasive than anyone else. He made a weird p

Renting through Welcome Home Property Management was smooth and professional. The rental application and move-in process were easy to navigate, with clear communication and helpful guidance every step of the way. Throughout my lease, they were responsive to maintenance requests handling them quickly and sometimes beyond what was expected. When it came time to move out, I appreciated how fair and transparent the inspection process was. They didn’t try to charge for normal wear and tear, which isn’t always the case with property managers. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Terrible people just keep tryna scam me out of money when I lost access to the unit due to court issues and have been out there unit for three months and they still keep trying to bill me and have tried renewing a lease with me without my permission and the unit I was renting was a terrible house and wouldn’t pass a city inspection on the house due to roof being outdated and safety concern an poor plumbing in the unit would highly not recommend this rental company they play games and try finding loop holes around fixing stuff or having the owner fix it and when I first moved in I found drugs in the front yard and entire time I was living in the residence I dealt with druggies walking by harassing my kids and I also filed a insurance claim with them and haven’t heard anything back due to so
