Walnut Park Apartments

This apartment complex is failing to meet basic health and safety standards. Despite submitting three maintenance requests, my refrigerator has not been repaired. This is a serious concern as I am diabetic and require refrigerated medication. Management has been made aware of this and has still taken no action. I also have two small children living in the unit. The property is routinely unsanitary, with trash left in hallways, dirty floors and walls, and broken doors in the main lobby, creating both health and security risks. Package theft is common, and there appears to be no effort to address it. The office is never open, phone numbers are disconnected, and residents have no reliable way to contact management. I will write the truth and this management company will take it down..because that is who they are. The walls are filthy...were supposed to paint them like two or three years ago (before this management company but same owner)....but have not done that. Front doors that literally almost fell on me one morning when going to work..they are glass doors and I use a walker...so I had to hold my walker and keep myself from being beamed with glass and steel 14 months ago are also still not fixed. They need a third dumpster for the trash which always winds up on the ground..as for the hallway cleanings..ha, does not seem like once a week..more like once every two or three weeks...maybe. They do not do paperwork efficiently here and the management company has been here for seven months...how long d

Phone number connects to an Ai, which tries to connect to Leasing office, only to hang up on you during business hours... none of that is a good sign. Especially when the corporation has replaced workers with robots to save a few bucks rather than pay someone to answer a few questions the Ai cannot answer.

I truly enjoy living here! The apartments are beautiful inside, there’s enough space and a couple of parks for kids to play at, the neighbors are sweet and kind, maintenance is always friendly and readily available to help you out if need be, and my landlords are literal angels! So far, I have enjoyed my time here!

The apartments are beautiful and things are getting a lot better here. Management is quick to answer any questions and maintenance is also quick to fix any issues. The maintenance guys are great and friendly. They’ve made great strides to keep kids out that were damaging the building and I commend them for that. I look forward to bringing my extended family from the upper peninsula here to Lansing to get a townhouse. They’re really excited.
