Van Buren Place

i recently moved out of my apartment after nearly a year long lease. This was a transition residence for me that required both faith and a trustful comittment. My experience was simple and helpful, especially with the help of Emily, my leasing agent. I found this experience to be enlightening and worthwhile, especially since Emily ended up being not only extremely helpful but also a friend. I highly recommend this residence as place to stay.

From the moment I moved in, this place has felt more like a home than just a rental. The rooms are bright, clean, and inviting, and there is a sense of comfort here that is hard to put into words. What makes it truly special is my landlord. She is caring in the little ways that matter, thoughtful when it comes to her tenants, and fair in every interaction. She listens, she helps, and she makes sure you never feel like just another tenant. Because of her, living here has been not only stress-free but also genuinely heartwarming. My boyfriend and I were really disappointed with our experience at Van Buren. We received repeated noise complaints from residents below us that were determined to harass us—even on days we were out of town with proof—and management never resolved the issue or addressed our concerns. Emergency maintenance was unresponsive when our power was wrongfully shut off during an extreme heat warning while we were out of town. We were promised a callback but never got one, so we drove five hours home to ensure our pets were safe. We also had food stolen multiple times, and management refused to alert residents when we requested that they do so. Van Buren Place is simply amazing. Friendly and helpful staff, Emily is amazing helping with any questions you may have. The maintenance staff is very fast and also keep you informed on every step of the way. The area is perfect away from tons of traffic with lots of beautiful walking areas though so close to shopping for any needs possible. I am so glad to find Van Buren! I'm happy to call this Home!!

I've been living here since April and have no complaints... this is a wonderful place to call home in a great location near shops/restaurants and the east side of Madison. Everyone who works here has been really friendly, and maintenance requests are usually handled within a day or two. Other residents are generally quiet and respectful. Multiple events are held throughout the year for tenants, which really boosts the overall sense of community. Community amenities are top-notch and kept in working shape. The price is fair for what you get- renting anywhere near Madison isn't cheap anymore, but compared to other local rentals, this place is on par. We hope to be here for a while!
