Toll Brothers Corporate Office

Very condescending and rude. Rented at one of their apartment complexes in Bensalem (Berkeley Trace) over 20 years ago. Had some weird problems with the property manager who said I was making too much noise when I exercised. When it escalated to this office, they rudely told me “Let’s move on.” Kept part of my deposit for carpet cleaning even though I cleaned it myself and did an excellent job. My father, who ran a store that supplied fixture and hardware for the construction industry, said they were “jerks” but used the more offensive term. A former work colleague once witnessed them putting shingles on a wet roof. Many of my experiences in the two years I lived near Philadelphia followed suit.

Purchasing process and actual construction was excellent, outstanding. Responding to problems the first year was quick and relatively responsive. Following 1 year, the warranty process has been awful and unresponsive. Two appliance problems have occurred in a 14 month old single family home. One was a refrigerator on which the installers did not install a water pressure reduction valve when originally installing the refrigerator, resulting in no water being dispensed from the refrigerator. The issue was addressed with them many times and they were always "looking into it" but it remains unrepaired 14 months later. I wanted to purchase a home from them but after reading all these reviews I would be stupid to purchase an asset from them. Thank you to everyone who went through this so we could know not too.

Toll Brothers uses the cheapest sub-contractors they can find and when the result is shoddy workmanship they don't stand behind their work. We had a house built where every single seam in the ceiling drywall installation was done improperly leaving a checkerboard of a ceiling. They refuse to reinstall it properly and have only offered to spackle the entire ceiling but without a warranty on the "fix". Surely this will crack and fall over time, but they refuse to voluntarily build the house according to the original specs. Now it seems we need to spend even more money on attorneys. UPDATE: 8/2/21 Toll Brothers told me to talk to their attorney. They are not going to fix this mess!

STAY AWAY! If I could give them zero stars I would. Absolute WORST home buying experience EVER. I would not recommend to my worst enemy, to buy a Toll Brother’s home after this experience. Our million dollar “luxury” home was built with leas care and attention to quality and detail, than a dirt shed. We moved into our home in June and it has been a never-ending nightmare since then. Our master bedroom ceiling collapsed due to poor framing job. The whole master closet collapsed, again due to poor installation. Sod all around the house was installed severely sick and laid so poorly that it all died and grass NEVER grew.
