My ceiling fan fell from the ceiling due to the maintenance being extremely poor. I reported the broken ceiling fan to the property management and they told me I should just clean it up myself and that they are not responsible for it falling off. They refused to clean up the broken glass or pay me for my table. Instead of assisting with the hazard of broke glass that could have fell on my head they seemed agitated that they were even being bothered with this. A/C doesn’t work in almost any of the units just ask around. Washing machine has been out of order 3 times this year but they’ve raised the prices for washing. This place is livable but the management will neglect you and roll their eyes, they don’t even answer the phone. This place sucks

I’ve had an amazing experience living at The Wood of Oakbrook. These may be older apartments, but with a lot of tender love and care, they’re kept running smoothly and feel like home. It’s clear the staff takes pride in maintaining the property and creating a comfortable community. The front office staff is always polite, courteous, and eager to help with anything you need. The maintenance team is top-notch as well—work orders are handled quickly and efficiently, and the maintenance man ensures everything is done right the first time. If you’re looking for a well-maintained, welcoming place to live, this is it. If you’re expecting perfection and can’t appreciate the effort that goes into keeping these apartments running, then go buy a home instead. For everyone else, this is a great plac

I can’t speak for everyone else’s experiences however I can speak about mine. Kelsey and Avery are so easy to work with. Kelsey especially bent over backwards to help me get moved in last year. And Mike the maintenance supervisor is phenomenal. He has been here at a drop of a dime in the middle of the night when my heater stopped working in the winter. If you are an easy going person and you know that you are not the only tenant that these people are working so hard for, then you will not be disappointed. But if you are up tight and think they only serve you, you need to go someplace else. They are good people just trying to do the best job they can. I don’t have any complaints.

They are updating it, my place has new siding and new windows and newer exterior paint. They just fixed the parking lot. They are trying to fix it up and keep the riff raff out by towing cars that sit for over a month etc. People that live here are messy so the management has to charge trash fees just to keep the place picked up because people are gross and can't pick up after themselves. I have lived here since 2012 and overall it's a good value for this area, they are responsive when it comes to the important stuff like snow removal, pluming and insects but that's about it, no frills and you will have to take care of your own minor maintenance issues. it's in a quiet area so nice place for night shifters but maintenance comes in pretty much whenever they want with little to no notice.

I never write reviews because like the rest of us, I find typing some long drawn-out speak tedious, but this is so important that you read. I used to live here and they do not have washer and dryer hook-ups. The apartment I lived in was small, wallpaper coming off in the kitchen. Bathroom drain would always clog, and the toilet handle broke on the inside where the water refills. Maintenance came to fix it by putting a piece of plastic with a rubber band and rigged it to work. I also had roaches 🪳 and ants, and spiders, put in a request for an exterminator. And they never sent one, and they did nothing about it. They do not enforce noise limits, and neighbors are very loud. Maintenance is hard to get ahold of, and they have walked into my apartment without notice several times. The water he
