The Ridge Clemson

First impression, outside landscaping is nice. Needs a some upkeep: trash bins in street and all knocked over, trash in dog park…and with respect to this country and all who defend her, please replace the torn flag.

I went on a tour today and everything looked great. It’s affordable when comparing to other options and it’s fully furnished minus TV’s. The floors plan was very spacious in my opinion; where everyone could be out of their bedroom and not crammed, fighting for air. The outdoor hangout space looks very nice, especially for spring and late summer/early fall activities.

The staff is patient, friendly and helpful ALWAYS! Maintenance responds promptly. Love the pool! Wish The Ridge had one bedroom unit apartments for after graduation. Now, parking is sometimes stressful; however overall a great place to stay! Thank you!

The shuttle service here is genuinely convenient, but the system isn’t being used the way it was intended. Riders are supposed to show a Green Way shuttle pass, yet the driver never verifies anyone’s pass. Because of that, a lot of people who don’t live at the Ridge have started using the shuttle as if it’s open to the public—friends of residents, random students, whoever—since nothing is being checked. More than once, I’ve ended up without a spot because the bus filled up with people who openly admitted they don’t live here and were basically joking about how easy it is to ride without a pass. It’s pretty frustrating when actual residents can’t even get a seat on a service we pay for. Management really needs to step in and start enforcing the pass requirement so non-residents aren’t tak

Residents are honestly beyond frustrated with the complete lack of consistency in how the shuttle rules are being enforced. In the mornings, one bus driver actually does their job and checks for the Green Way shuttle bus tag like they’re supposed to. But in the evenings, the other driver doesn’t check bus passes at all, and it’s turning into a free-for-all. Because of this, non-residents are constantly getting on the shuttle and taking seats away from people who actually live here and pay to have access to this service. People have openly said on the shuttle that they don’t live here and that it’s “great they don’t check passes.” Meanwhile, actual residents are being left behind with no seat and no way to get to or back from campus on time.
