The Quarters East Lansing Cottages

My son lived here as a grad student for two years. It was a very nice and affordable place to live in a good location. He liked the easy parking and access in front of his unit. I appreciated that there were no issues or unexpected move out charges.

Horrible! We said we didnt want their furniture multiple times but were forced to keep it and store it for the year. we used our own furniture anyway and put their couches aside the entire year. come move out time they claimed we destroyed furniture that we never used and made us pay $1200. they also didnt document any of their stuff prior to our move in so we had no way to prove we didnt do that or it wasnt already like that. Horrible staff

Technically it’s fixed, but it’s not the same as it was before it broke the handle has to be pushed up after you flush where that’s not how it was before it broke off

I really enjoyed living in the Cottages. The management (Janae in particular) is amazing and very supportive. I definitely recommend!

Management says they take the first 2 weeks to clean apartments in August, but they don't clean anything, leaving you with a mess to clean upon entry. If you have a pet, don't bother living here. They don't know how to take care of the grass. There is no waste disposal so smells can be a problem. Ventilation is poorly circulated and not contained in the upstairs rooms. It's either too hot or too cold. Guest parking is a pain, and they are quite strict. They give temporary solutions to big problems (example: the entrance to the front of the Quarters Apartments always floods). The cottages clubhouse is barely a clubhouse. They charged me after moving out, but they never clarified the issue when I reached out to them via email.
