The Park at East Ponce Apartments

Yessie is my leasing agent and she is phenomenal. She is very detailed oriented and knowledgeable. She was so patient, kind, and helpful with all of my questions throughout my transition of moving to this community. I also had the pleasure of meeting some of the other staff in the office who were amazing especially Trinity. They were all friendly and resourceful. The teamwork and support between them all is commendable. I really appreciate all of the effort and look forward to being apart of this community.

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but my experience at The Park at East Ponce in Stone Mountain was so negative that I feel compelled to warn others. From the very beginning, my interaction with Heidi Durant set the tone for what would be an extremely unpleasant visit. Her demeanor was curt, her tone dismissive, and at no point did I feel welcomed or respected as a potential resident. Instead of engaging with my questions or showing any genuine interest in helping me, she made me feel like I was an inconvenience. The property tour only reinforced my decision to look elsewhere. The building I was shown was in a state of visible disrepair — peeling paint, worn flooring, and an overall sense of neglect that suggested maintenance is not a priority here. Extremely unprofessional staff and the units look nothing like the website portrays. It looked a fool and it was dirty. It was my belief that one of the leasing agents attempted to scam me. Adding an additional $165 administrative fee out of nowhere and randomly switching the unit I applied for without my knowledge. I see why they tried to rush the deposit out of me before I could even see the unit. They continuously demanded a deposit before I could see the unit. I did not even realize the unit was switched until I began the tour. I drove 2 hours because Heidy Duran told me the unit was ready. When the tour began.. The Property Manager, Gabrielle was nothing short of AMAZING! Top-tier customer service! Her and her staff are very polite, personable, and honest. That kind of professionalism and compassion makes me feel valued and taken seriously as a resident; and I trust how they manage this property! Phenomenal improvements have already been made in just a short amount of time (as I have lived here since 2012): from the security enhancements at the mailbox kiosks to the overall appearance of the property. They show that they really care about us! THANK YA'LL! We need that; and you are greatly appreciated!

My interaction with the staff more specifically, Heidi set the tone immediately. From the jump, the energy was giving “you’re bothering me.” The tone was dry, the attitude was dismissive, and I genuinely felt like I interrupted her nap by showing up for a scheduled tour. No warmth. No professionalism. Just vibes of inconvenience. Now let’s talk about the tour… because wow. The model apartment must live in a completely different zip code than the unit I was shown. What I saw? Peeling paint, tired flooring, old wood that looked like it survived three recessions, and carpet that had clearly been through some things.
