Customer Reviews
I moved into the Monroe apartments about a week ago, it's been a great experience so far. Gil and company did a great job walking us though the application process and paperwork after that. They were quick to answer any questions or concerns. The day we got the keys we did the in-depth inspection for the paperwork; we did find some issues and turned the paperwork in the next evening after we were sure we had all the information on the paper. The next day maintenance was in the apartment fixing the issues we had found. Gil made sure to reach out and see that things had been repaired to our satisfaction. It seems like Gil and the team there in the office genuinely care about providing a great experience and a great place to live. It's been a really great experience so far. Keep up the grea
Lease the apartment just don't deal with manager Gil. I’ve been a resident here for 6 months. I always paid rent on time (auto-pay enrolled) kept the apartment clean, and followed every rule. But every time I had to deal with Manager Gil, it was a bad experience. He is rude, talks with an attitude, and makes you feel like asking a question is a problem. Everyone else in the office is so nice and respectful, but he is the total opposite. Once I called just to confirm a balance, and instead of helping, he said, “Pay this amount by this date or it’ll go to collections.” I’ve never missed a payment. Everything was on auto-pay and always paid correctly, so why that kind of tone or threat, that was totally unnecessary. Two months before my lease ended, I paid $75 for a new roommate, signed all
Neighbors are very friendly and considerate, staff is extremely helpful, and the room didn’t come with any unwanted or major surprises, I’m very pleased. My only two “complaints” if I had to choose something, (they’re not that big of a deal, just something to note), is that the window design seems pretty thin, so noise coming from the outside is much louder than anywhere else, and the parking is “first come first serve”… I think a designated spot would be very nice, but again, it’s not that big of a deal… I’ve been here for 2 nights, and haven’t heard one noise from the hours of 10pm- 7am, very easy to sleep. Overall, I couldn’t suggest a better place, there are far more very strong positives than minimal negatives.
While the apartment itself was adequate at best, after moving out of The Monroe Apartments in Glendale Heights, I was charged $200 for carpet cleaning without any photos or receipts to justify the charge, despite requesting them several times. The lease for The Monroe Apartments does not specify a requirement for professional carpet cleaning. The manager Gil ultimately refused to provide proof or adjust the charge. I also learned that other tenants at The Monroe Apartments were not charged for similar carpet conditions, which raises concerns about consistency and fairness. If you are considering renting at The Monroe Apartments, be sure to get all move-out requirements in writing to avoid unexpected fees.
Honestly, it’s too expensive to live here. You can no longer submit a maintenance request without aI telling you to fix it yourself. They force you to bundle xfinity with them in your rent. It forces me to pay more than what I need for xfinity and its way more than I was paying on my own!
