The Lauderdale at Hampton Pines

I deleted my review from a few years ago to provide an update. It was read by over 2,500 people. I hope that they were not misled. It said, “Affordable, safe, and quiet.” “Quiet” is only attainable if you live on the top floor, because the sound of neighbors above you is incredibly loud for the lower floors. We made the choice to transfer units because of this. However, the buildings do not have elevators. If you live on the 3rd floor, you have to deal with the stairs daily, which is especially taxing when bringing up groceries. Delivery services cannot be relied upon because some delivery people cancel orders when they realize there are no elevators or obligate you to go downstairs to do all the heavy lifting yourself. I can’t wait for the lease to be up. The first couple of months it looked like a decent community but it just went downhill. From garbage all over the unit, garbage by the lake area, a random chicken walking around the units?very very and I mean VERY loud neighbors, violence problems not only in the area but also inside the community with a recent case of shooting, not enough parking for anyone to the point that people park in the middle of the street and considering that there are emails saying that people can’t do that and they still do it shows how much they follow rules in here. The constant smell of weed even tho this is a “smoke free” community the smell gets into my unit from other people smoking. And, if you live in a first floor be ready to hear every single noise! My partner is undergoing work relocation and lives out of state, so he asked my brother and I to check out a few places for him (this is one of the places he was interested in). I’m looking forward to this lease being up, I will not be renewing! My stay at Lauderdale Hampton Pines has been anything but peaceful or pleasant. This place takes the cake for worst rentals in my rental history. From the beginning, I’ve dealt with ongoing issues including mold infestation, broken and damaged appliances, and an unresponsive, unhelpful leasing management team. Getting anything addressed feels like pulling teeth, Management rarely answers the phone and does not respond to emails. The only thing they seem concerned about is rent being paid—and paid on time—while legitimate maintenance, health, and safety concerns are ignored.
