If you are looking to move here, please don't. Especially, if you have kids, are disabled or can't walk more than a few flights of stairs since the elevators are always down and recently both elevators were down for at least 24 hours. This was a great building to live in when Kriegman and Smith's were in charge and Sasha was the property manager but since Alfred Sanzari came in, the problems won't stop! Let's start with their first year here, they'd charge us double parking fees which resulted in an eviction letter on our door. Clearly, we were shocked by this since we've always paid our rent and parking fee in full, but when we looked into our charges, we realized that they'd been double charging us for our parking spaces. So, they were trying to evict us due to an error on their end!

The leasing office went above and beyond to help me.From the first contact to the final paperwork, they were patient, kind, and extremely organized. They made the process easy and stress-free. I’m very grateful for their help and highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent. Thank you again Erica and Carly!

It genuinely hurts to write this after living here for over 25 years, but recent changes in upper management have significantly impacted the quality of life at The Ivanhoe in Hackensack. I’ve always been a responsible tenant with rent paid consistently for decades, yet recent interactions with management have left me feeling anxious and unsupported. On December 29th, unexpected “legal proceeding” charges appeared on my account late at night on a Sunday, even though nothing had been filed in court verified on Dec 31. EDITED: I am writing this as somebody who currently lives there and is actually breaking our lease and paying an absorbent fee to do so. I truly don’t know where to start, but I will start by saying that I used to live in this building about four years ago when it was ran by Cushman and Wake and I never had any of the following issues I am about to mention. For one, the manager Amelia who worked as the property manager has been a nightmare to deal with. She had my car towed when my baby was 2 weeks old because I didn’t want to park my car in the garage in the middle of the summer when it was 90° out and use the elevator to go up stairs because that elevator gets super hot as it’s a garage elevator. We had an apartment tour scheduled for 4:00 PM today. Upon arriving, the clerk informed us that management had left early and no one was available to conduct the tour. We received no prior notification, email, or call about a cancellation or rescheduling. The clerk eventually reached someone who provided the number for "Amilie" (or Emilie). When we called Amilie, she asked the clerk to call yet another person, who then requested we wait an additional 10-15 minutes to complete the tour. This is arguably the most irresponsible and unprofessional management we have ever encountered. The complete lack of communication wasted our time, and management offered no apology.
