The Harbour at Orange Coast College

I just moved in yesterday, and the post is well overdue!! The unit is absolutely amazing, and I’m already loving it!!! The facility is stunning as a whole! Unfortunately, I have yet to meet people due to moving before an accelerated winter term (not a traditional semester); the staff are extremely kind, and were kind enough to walk me through pretty much every question (which I had a lot as I’ve never done a lease of any kind before, let alone get one co-signed). Move-in went very smoothly, and it is not only right next to the OCC campus, but there’s shops surrounding it on both Fairview and Harbor Blvd. I have yet to go and meet people and explore the area (was exhausted after moving in, which is pretty normal regardless of the location). If there was a way to put negative stars I definitely would put negative stars. You can live somewhere else. I recommend you do it. I understand that it's convenient. It's down the street from school but this place is horrible. Trust me, ask around, ask anybody before you sign the lease. They have too many issues but when you try to fix the issues they give you the runaround. There's a lot of car thefts. There's been people that get jumped. People's bikes get stolen. They hired security but the security don't want to deal with these people because they get threatened all the time. There's been issues where people get sexually harassed. Again, if you can live somewhere else do so. Do not live at the harbor. This is a horrible place.

I currently live at The Harbor at Orange Coast College, and they have never helped me despite repeatedly reporting serious issues. There is mold, cockroaches, and bubbling from ongoing water damage in the apartment, clearly showing problems inside the walls. Nothing has been properly addressed. The Wi-Fi is terrible, yet residents are charged almost $2,000 to live here. Management seems far more concerned with fixing and upgrading study rooms than actually helping residents with serious problems inside their own apartments. It feels like the apartment complex is being run by teenagers who are overwhelmed and unable to help, which is not their fault there should be more trained staff and real management support available. I came over multiple days to review the The Harbour and found it to be completely unsafe for my daughter. Doors were propped open. The amoint of dog doo and liqiuids from trash that stain the hallways is a travesty and abhorrent. It looked like one bathroom was used for drug deals only. The front gate was ajar and unable to be shut for a week. No security protocols. Not to metion the cleanliness. The fact that OCC finds this even slightly okay or adequate for it's students is it's own indictment of OCC as an educational institution receiving federal/government funds.

The Harbour An Amazing Place, Thanks to Madison and her team! The complex itself is top-notch. The grounds are always immaculate and well-maintained. The amenities, are always clean and a joy to use. Any maintenance requests are handled quickly and professionally. But Madison truly makes this place shine. She's incredibly professional, genuinely caring, and always goes the extra mile for residents. She's approachable, responsive, and handles everything with a smile and remarkable efficiency. Madison’s dedication makes living at The Harbour feel like being part of a real community. If you're looking for a wonderful place to live with outstanding management, The Harbour is it, and Madison is the reason why!
