I want to share some background information to put my five-star review in context. I’m new to Grand Forks and was living in another apartment when I found out my dog had metastatic lung cancer. No signs, no symptoms, just an incidental finding on an x-ray taken for another issue. I wanted to move somewhere quieter and with easier access to the outdoors so he and I could peacefully enjoy the estimated 3-12 months I was told he probably had left. The Gardens Apartments seemed like the perfect environment, and I worked with Geneva Sharief in the leasing office to secure the only available unit. Actually, when I say worked with, I should really say Geneva worked with me. I had my heart set on living here, but I kept bumping up against the obstacle of my limited time and technological skills.

The Gardens Apartment has been great so far! We really love the space and how quiet it is. The 2 car garage is a huge plus as well. Geneva was so great to work with. She was very quick to respond, kind and always helpful. We were able to tour and get through the application process in less than 2 weeks all thanks to Geneva!

I encountered an issue with the online rent payment system, which was temporarily unavailable. I left a voicemail and sent an email detailing the situation. Despite my efforts to communicate, I did not receive a response, and as a result, I incurred a late fee. I have consistently paid my rent on time during my year-long residency. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this service. When asked for the manger email and phone number I was told and quote: “What would you like to speak to the manager about? I can forward the message and let them know to contact you”.

We recently moved into The Gardens and have been settling in well. The apartment is clean, well-maintained, and met our expectations. Geneva was helpful throughout the moving process—professional, communicative, and made sure everything went smoothly. We appreciated her support and follow-through.
