The Gables at Park Pointe

Living at The Gables has been an amazing experience. The team is attentive and professional, and anytime I’ve put in a maintenance request, it’s been taken care of in a timely manner. You also can’t beat the location — close to the best restaurants and shopping, with West End only five minutes away.

This building loves to brand itself as a luxury apartment complex, but it doesn’t take long after moving in to realize how cheap everything actually is. The finishes, appliances, construction- all bottom of the barrel, hidden behind “modern” design that falls apart fast. Our dryer never worked properly the entire TWO YEARS we lived there. It regularly took 3–4 cycles to dry even a basic load of clothes, making laundry a multi-day ordeal. We submitted multiple maintenance requests, and each time they’d just clean the lint trap and tell us it was fixed. After the third round of nothing, we gave up and just suffered through it. I had scheduled an apartment tour a week before our tour. I did this through their website and got confirmation emails. Upon arriving, my boyfriend and I went to the entrance that we assumed would be the main entrance for the building, as there are no signs whatsoever. On the call box, we called the leasing office where a man told us the leasing office is outside and to the left of where we were. We walked around looking for any indication of this to the point of returning to the call box for further clarification. We were informed that the leasing office is in a separate apartment building across the street and on the other side of apartments (not the Gables) from where we were. Overall, a great place to live. We've had a couple issues with maintenance but they have since been resolved. There have been a couple different office personnel in the time we've lived here and I just want to say that Dana could not be better! She goes above and beyond and is always kind when we call or stop by with an issue or question. No clue what she's being paid but she deserves a raise! :)

Great location, apartments are nice and I very rarely hear my neighbors in their units. Staff always gets back to me and are easy to reach. We've had a lot of AC/Heat issues but they were fixed ASAP. Lots and lots of parking (We use the back parking lot shared with the business on the east side for guests.) Price is high for not being "in" the city but it was reasonable.
