Beautiful apartment but poor structural integrity and soundproofing so be prepared to hear your upstairs neighbors 24/7. Management attempts to solve issues but is slow, difficult to get a response from, and does not meet the needs of tenants when prompted multiple times. I love seeing all the pets here but I don’t love the smell of animal urine wafting from the turf out front or the miscellaneous stains that appear and frequently look like poop in the stairwells and elevators. Chances of getting a visitor spot for guests is slim as no one enforces those spots and are taken by residents daily. Neighbors are not compliant or kind to any form of request or complaint from other neighbors or management. I would hope that the price of this place would be indicative of less issues since you’ll b

We moved out from the Elwood apartments and received a check with our move-out statement. We assumed this was the last we would hear from Elwood, only to be surprised by an automated email saying we had an outstanding balance. Had to wait through the weekend to hear back from management with an explanation. They sent a “ledger” of our account including all of our charges throughout the years. Only thing of note were two credits applied to our account due to a pro-rate error that we had prior to moving. Credit 1: changed a 27 day pro-rated rent to 5 days (we were only gonna be there for 5 days that month). Credit 2: gave us an extra credit for 27 days. Asked why, they told me they applied credit 2 for everyone b/c they expect everyone to just pay the full month they move out. This was never

The Elwood has been the perfect home for my family! We just resigned our lease for our third year here and we love it! The neighborhood is quiet and feels very homey and safe. The Elwood property management has always been very friendly and helpful and all maintenance request have always been quick and easy! This is a beautiful apartment and community to live in! Highly recommend!

Save your money, patience, and sanity before moving here. The “looks” of a new apartment are not worth everything you will endure here. The prices for apartments will be one thing online but when they have you sat down signing your lease, the price will jump up $2-300. You are told there is a pool yet no one from the apartments actually gets to use it, only the entire neighborhood next to it (which isn’t disclosed BEFORE you sign your lease). Besides the fact that there are no amenities (gym, pool, park, parking) the management is the absolute worst I have ever dealt with. Every single time I have had to contact them I have to reach out several times and get beyond frustrated before someone even gives me a “no update response.” I had a broken dryer for 3 months when I moved in and instead

i’ve lived here for 2 years. the only thing that is annoying is that Happy Valley doesn’t have much to do. there are great food spots, and the grocery options near by are nice, but going to downtown is annoying since sunnyside is usually a nightmare. the apartment complex itself is clean, friendly, and well managed in my opinion. there were some maintenance requests that didn’t get resolved the first time, but i would blame the problem being annoying then blame the crew. this is a great place to live and the forestry and birds that surround this place is absolutely wonderful
