So I’ve been here about 2.5 years and there’s always been a problem with the dogs here peeing all over the carpets as you see in the photos!! I have complained numerous times and nothing ever gets done some things let them pee all over and have a health hazard you walk in the halls trying to avoid it but knowing you stepped in some on the way to your apartment and then guess what you have that on your shoes and in your apartment!!!!! It’s just truly disgusting and today 5/12/25 on the back steps going to garage a dog pooped on the stairs and you think they clean it up ???? Looks like it’s been there awhile and almost stepped in it!! This place should not allow dogs in this apartment complex there is no where for the dogs to go beside a park that’s likes 4-5 blocks away by that time they ha
I lived in this apartment for one year and honestly regret every month of it. The building had an awful smell that continually came and went. I used the community grill once, and it turned into a full-on emergency when I had to call 911 due to damaged gas lines. Completely unsafe. The mail area looked like a garage sale gone wrong—piles of people’s discarded belongings everywhere. On top of that, dogs barked at all hours of the day and night, and the elevator was consistently out of order, which was a nightmare if you live on a higher floor. The final straw was when management asked me to move units because a noisy neighbor had moved in above me. I had been living there peacefully for a year, and instead of addressing the actual problem, they tried to push me out. Management was disorga
Management could not be bothered to return my phone calls asking about when I would receive my security deposit back, or if I would. This was a month after my move out date. When I finally spoke to a staff member they couldn’t answer my questions, but assured me I would receive a call back regarding the topic - I never did. Save your money and go with a cheaper / better option in the area; the alleys and streets are filled with obnoxious drunks on the weekends, and the dogs here bark incessantly.
Overall, I really like my apartment unit. It's clean and, though not the best quality, you get what you pay for, the rent is comparable to other similar new buildings. The management is the worst I've ever dealt with. They list office hours 9 to 5 Monday through Friday, but are hardly ever there. The halls reek of weed smoke, despite the building maintaining their "smoke free" policy. There are lots of dogs here and frequent messes occur that do not get cleaned up right away. Yes, the building is right next to train tracks, there's going to be noise. Deal with it or don't move here. I did lose my keys a while back and when I called, I had to put in a maintenance request to get back in my unit. It was a Thursday night. A police officer used his emergency key to get me back in my unit a day
I enjoyed my stay here at the deco the last few years. Community was friendly and giving. I loved my 2 bed unit although I wish they were priced better for the quality of the apartment in general. Obviously there’s a train literally right next to it, we all got used to it and loved seeing it come by tbh. Management was MIA most of the time especially my first year of living there. Maintenance was amazing and quick to respond. I definitely recommend this apartment for younger people looking for the city vibe in a suburban neighborhood! There’s a lot of walkable trails and bars/coffee. The views on the patios are all great. We made the most out of our stay here and never ran into huge issues. If you don’t mind a busier and louder area, this apartment is perfect.
