From the outset, my expectation was not to rely entirely on him for the search process but rather to benefit from his professional knowledge of the market, contractual matters, and legal technicalities. In those areas, he was initially responsive and helped guide the transaction, and we ultimately closed on a property on July 31, 2025. Prior to working together, we had a clear verabl agreement that he would contribute 1% of his commission toward my closing costs. So I just had a horrible and unprofessional interaction with Derrick Bridgeforth who represents Taylor properties. I reached out to him to inquire regarding the rent to own options that he advertises on his business page on instagram and he informed me that it does not make sense (as he put it) for me to consider renting to own, told me to give him a call once I’m ready to purchase and also provided the 👌🏽emoji at the end of his sentence. I followed up by asking him, is renting to own no longer an option or a service that he/they no longer provides and I even asked if he could please provide a brief answer as to why that doesn’t “make sense” he read the message and ignored it, I attempted once more to get clarity on this process from him by explaining that this is all new to me and before
