Sunset Village

This place has went down in rank in my opinion, simply due to false and Inaccurate statements against may homingos. I totally disagree I believe she wasn't giving a chance really, she actually was picking up or cleaning up after old management. Before may came we have never passed an building inspection before I've heard through the grapevine of past and present residents until may came and cleaned the place up. We passed with flying colors. Thar should speak for itself on how the hard work that she put into her work to give the community what was missing. I have yet to be able to enjoy the one amenity of the pool which has been down for quite some time 3yrs to be exact. May was able to come in and make it happen by ordering the part for the handicap lift, which was the main issue on why

There is no security fence or security, I had my vehicle stolen 3 months after I moved in! The homeless and drug addicts come through here day and night! Positive side is the management is great, and it's close to everything shopping entertainment sports and events!!!!

The amount of "reviews" on here specifically praising May is laughable (and obviously fake). I was a resident for the past three years, specifically during the transition from old management (Joanna, Frankie, etc.) to new management (May Hormigas), and #1 reason I and many other residents decided to leave is because of May. I am a very active member of all my communities, so trust and believe I know my neighbors, and none of them have a kind word to say about May or these apartments. She is disrespectful, combative, and has an absolutely unearned inflated ego. I've witnessed her make multiple residents cry (myself included), and I've seen her badger and bully both residents and maintenance staff that have been here eons longer than her. I’ve been living here for a year and even chose to renew my lease. Don’t let the old negative reviews or pictures fool you — this community has really turned around, thanks to May and the management team. The property is always well-kept, and any maintenance requests I’ve submitted have been handled quickly. Noise has never been an issue for me aside from the occasional siren from the police station nearby. The staff is approachable, friendly, and truly makes the experience better. The location is a huge plus — convenient, with easy access to all freeways, and new stores and developments are being added to the area. The only downside for me is that the complex isn’t gated, but honestly, that hasn’t been a dealbreaker. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for

My experience at Sunset Village over the past 4 years has been consistently positive. The property manager Mae and staff have been super friendly, professional, and attentive to my needs. The renovations regarding the property landscape, pool and laundry rooms are top notch. Mae is very eager to make sure issues are addressed, resolved promptly, and efficiently within 24hrs. The location of the complex is in a safe walkable community: gym, banks, supermarket, pharmacy, and postal service at your fingertips tips. I feel appreciated and genuinely feel they care about their residents.
