StyleCraft Homes at The Overlook at Hancock Village

Started the purchase process for a new condo in the summer of 2025. Closed on 12/31/25. I was told the rental properties percentage here was low and only one HOA fee increase of $30 at that point. I closed on 12/31/25 and paid the $195.00 HOA fee for January. February 1 I received a text requesting payment of $240.00. I sent an email asking what the $240.00 was for. They advised this was the new HOA fee that was communicated to homeowners on 12/23/25. I responded that no one provided me with this updated fee on 12/31/25. Their response was things can slip through the cracks at closing. $45.00 a month increase is not something that should slip through the cracks. This is unethical bait and switch tactics. I've lived here for almost two years. Great community, friendly people, and close to everything you need. Walmart is a short walk away down the trail and other stores are very convenient. The community is kept up well and always looks clean and manicured. My only request would be a playground for the kids, there are lots of children and young families here. I have heard a dog park is coming soon as the community expands.

I did not like design of these homes. Completely confusing living room and small kitchen cabinets. Absolutely no!
