Southern Property Management

Our community manager is great, responsive and helpful. However, whomever is answering the phone at SPM's office in Gainesville should be terminated immediately. We had a major issue pop up that could impact the closing of our home sale next week. I called and yes, was perturbed, but I did not cuss or verbally abuse this woman. She would not help me at all, could not help me get in touch with anyone who COULD help, and proceeded to hang up on me not once, but TWICE. She then refused to answer the phone when we called back. I get it you probably have a lot of angry people calling, but we have a legitimate complaint and a need to get this resolved ASAP. I have never dealt with a more rude or unhelpful receptionist in my entire life and that's saying something. She refused to give me her name

While our neighborhood HOA wasn't too terrible, SPM as the management company was awful to work with. We dealt with inconsistencies in messaging and communication with every interaction. There was a distinct lack of professionalism when interacting with Lynn, who treat every communication like we were a problem. She would refuse to answer simple "yes/no" questions about the community guidelines when we asked for clarification. I would avoid using SPM as a management company.

I had a very disappointing experience with Southern Property Management. The staff was extremely unprofessional and very rude in their communication. Simple questions were met with dismissive responses, and there was a clear lack of courtesy and respect. It was difficult to get clear information, and overall customer service was poor. I would not recommend Southern Property Management based on my experience.

If I could give them 0 stars I would! And sense no one would rectify the wrong doing I'll put it here! My car was wrongfully towed out of a community that they are HOA of. Firstly they wouldn't provide the number to the tow truck company, then when I asked why my car was towed they refused to tell me why!! When my car was parked in a designated parking area and my tags are valid!! When I finally got a hold of.the towing company they finally told me why they were ordered to tow my car and was stated for expired tag and my tags are good until March 2026 I have the 2026 sticker on my plates and I provided proof when I went to pick up my vehicle and the tow company confirmed my tags are good! I called Southern back and they refused to speak with me and or reimburse me the 230$ fee I had to pay

We kept our yard up and paid our dues - this isn't a rant against HOAs: SPM is the most unprofessional company I have ever had to deal with. We literally sold our house and took a $30K loss to get away from Lynn Tipton.
