Sophia's Place West Apartments

Living at Sophias Place West hasnt been a great experience for me at all. My apartment was newly renovated when I moved in, but almost immediately after getting there I had pests issues because I had “open spaces” that were unfilled and incomplete. My neighbors that live above me are horrible, they are loud and obnoxious almost everyday. They also allow their dogs to urinate on their balcony which comes down onto my patio. I have reported my complaints in writing, sent pictures to office managers and staff several times and nothing is ever enough. Now they dont even respond. Just waiting for my lease to expire.

Living at Sophia’s Place West has been a great experience. The leasing office workers are very responsive, and maintenance is very efficient and respectful. I love that the grounds in the complex are always well maintained, making the community feel very homey. I am sad that summer is over because the pool is one of my favorite amenities! Last but not least, the unit is very spacious with beautiful upgrades, and I have loved calling Sophia’s Place West home!

I’ve been living in a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment here, and overall I’m pretty happy with my unit. The apartment is spacious, has an eat-in kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer, and a nice balcony. Maintenance always responds quickly to requests, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside is the surrounding area — it’s not the best, and there have been a few shootings in the neighborhood since I moved in. That said, inside the complex itself, it’s been a comfortable and convenient place to live.

I’ve had the best move in experience ever all thanks to Tanika. She has helped me tremendously over the last few months up to my move in date last weekend, and continues to do so! The apartments themselves are really nice and even if there’s issues they come out to fix them right away. We had a fairly significant crack in the tank for our toilet the day of move in and the next day they installed a beautiful brand new toilet. On top of that, they continue to actively fix any little issues we’re having as the days go on. Thank you so much to Tanika, April, and everyone else involved during our moving process. When I moved here 21 years ago, I was told that tenants with dogs must pick up their poop or be fined. It smells when the wind blows and it’s not fair for my view to be that of dogs rear end pooping all day long. I’ve complained over the years but nothing is done about it. Tenants are leaving their homes to bring their dogs here to poop. On Sunday 2/8/26, I had to be playing hopscotch with the poop in the snow to get to my apartment from the parking lot . It is really disgusting and something MUST be done about it because for 21 years I’ve been paying my rent on time
