Short Hills Club Village

My experience at Short Hills Club Village has been outstanding so far. From the move-in process to maintenance follow-ups, everything has been handled with professionalism and efficiency. The apartments themselves are nice and well maintained. They’re not marketed as luxury units, but they’re spacious (about 900 sq ft for our 2-bedroom), comfortable, and the kitchen in particular is very well done. Some areas could use minor updates, but overall the value for the price is excellent. What truly sold us, though, was the management. Veronica, the property manager, is one of the most professional and responsive managers I’ve ever worked with. She is incredibly on top of things, quick to respond, and proactive in resolving issues. I lived at Short Hills Club Village for a little over three years, and if I weren’t moving out of the area, I would have happily stayed much longer. This community truly feels like home—beautifully maintained, peaceful, and exceptionally well-managed. The property itself is always kept in pristine condition, and the maintenance team is prompt, professional, and efficient when it comes to handling any in-house issues. Veronica and Lydia are key to keeping the SHCV running effectively and smoothly. Their wonderful personas and incredible attention to detail were vital to achieving my ability to move in successfully. Their oversight of every aspect of the community is vital. They know every resident and their apartments. With respect to maintence, they are also excellent at ensuring communications if there is a glitch. Jamie, Edwin, and Erik manage maintence and assisting residents with everything to from accidentally locking oneself out - to actual maintence of the property and within the residence. I experienced a leak under my sink, and it was fixed immediately and completely. I locked myself out, and was thankfully able to get back in. I truly hope they are recognized by Management for all they do.

This place has great reviews, but they’re wolves disguised as sheep. My best friend resides here, she was viciously attacked by a pitbull/pitbull mix due to the owner of said animal having it OFF LEASH. Pitbulls or any mix of the sort are forbidden from living here. My friend informed the property manager and was met with such a negative outcome. They claimed the animal could’ve been a “service animal.” No service animal acts ruthlessly/viciously. No service animal OWNER has their dog off leash! They also refuse to acknowledge that the irresistible resident may live here, and that “they made reside in a different community.” She was met with people unwilling to help her in time of need. This is very distasteful and disrespectful for residents that currently live here.

Dog friendly? Yeah RIGHT! Me and my dog were almost KILLED a few feet from our front door by a pitbull mix loose on the property. Avoid at all costs!!!!! I am absolutely traumatized and horrified after this experience!!!!!! Update: the dog DOES live on the property and I now see them everyday. They live a few doors down from me and I see them walking along as normal with no consequences after attacking me and my dog while I am left with medical bills. I don’t know how the apartment management couldn’t find the dog when they live so close. Maybe they would have found them if they actually looked instead of trying to convince me the dog wasn’t from the property.
