San Angelin Apartments

My apartment was filled with mold but was gaslit and told it wasn’t mold and continued to live there for another year and a half with my children, turns out my unit still hasn’t been filled since leaving two months ago because of the mold damage they allowed me to live in! There was hair painted into my bathroom walls that I discovered while cleaning them(pic included)! management was horrible, racked fees that didn’t make sense and offered no explanation, play nice to your face but are slimy, children’s bikes get stolen, so many little hoodlum cursing kids running around the neighborhood, forget any updates but your rent will sure increase! And they want to charge me over 4 grand upon me leaving Only good thing I can say was the maintenance my last year there was helpful & friendly ;). E

Way overdue review. Do NOT trust this office — especially Anthony and the manager. Before giving them a security deposit, I specifically asked if the deposit would be refunded if we were not accepted into the affordable housing program. I was clearly told yes. Based on that assurance, we paid the deposit. Later, we were told our application for the affordable unit was denied due to an old alimony issue connected to my mom. They left us a voicemail stating that we were not accepted and that our deposit would be returned within the next few business days. I still have that voicemail. After waiting, I called to confirm the refund. That’s when the manager suddenly claimed the deposit was non-refundable and said it was somehow our fault. I recently applied to live here. This review is based mostly off that experience. Shea helped me and was so helpful and patient the whole time. She was kind and professional and made this the best experience I’ve had dealing with apartment leasing agents.

This review has been long needed. I am not happy with the Property Manager, Luisana Valenzuela, business practices at San Angelin Apt. She lied directly to my face and the witness I had in the office with me during my lease closure meeting. I had advised her that I had a professional cleaning service work on my clean out. They cleaned over 2 days and multiple hours, leaving the place in better condition than when I moved into the place 7 years ago. She advised “ no problem, send me the invoice for services and we will take the $150 cleaning fee off your refund deductions. “ I provided invoice along with invoice for all the repairs I had done to the place, including light fixtures being replaced, etc. She then denied ever making that statement. I had a witness in the office with me.

Honestly, Jennifer Frazier needs to be the manger because she is & always has been the best one there in the office since I lived there. I could trust her & that meant everything to me. When neighbors complained, I realized that it’s unfair to be unrealistic. They are a wonderful unit & I had some moments where it seemed untrusted at times with some people that came & left but Jennifer always had my back & her loyalty & trust is beyond amazing! If it wasn’t for Jen, I don’t know what I would have done. She’s deserving of more credit than she’s been given & I want to thank HER for always going above & beyond to CARE! Thank you Jennifer! ❤️
