Pinery Park Apartments

I would not give this apartment even 1 star. This apartment houses senior citizens and children. They only have two elevators and one has been down for 2 months. Not only is this a fire hazard but it is bordering senior abuse. Additionally, this apartment complex continues to have bed bugs in their residents apartments and does very little to treat/help. If you have a family member or are looking for an apartment I would steer clear. I am currently working with a lawyer and connecting with the Wyoming Fire department to alert them of this issue.

I stayed at Pinery Park for a short amount of time so I can't say much about the property but I was super pleased to work with Alaina who was extremely attentive and flexible. We relocated from NC to Grand Rapids and Alaina helped get our lease sorted before we arrived and generally made the whole process smooth and stress free. The area is older and the building itself needs updating but the laundry was convenient, our appliances were all functioning and the super friendly maintenance team were there very quickly to address our service needs. If you're sensitive to noise, I'd suggest to top level to avoid the usual apartment noise of feet moving above you, otherwise, it met our needs during our few months there.

I’ve been waiting 4 years on the waitlist got a call almost 6-7 months ago saying I’m first in line. I know a couple who live there and they have told me there is units open but not being touched. WHY? The phone number is out of service. They never picked up the phone when it was in service. I stay on the waiting list because it is income based. More helpful for a single mother with the housing market right now. Can you guys get to the units available? Also the rule of “people who lived there and want to transfer get the units first” is unfair to the people who have been waiting years. Please figure this out AND get your number working. I’ve tried to call 7 times in 2 weeks. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. At this point when I do move in the only contact will be for rent. Seems as if I’ll have to fix

I have to say my apt. was okay. But they had other issues that they did not want to bother with. Like people dealing with drugs. And people not following rules. The fact that they say its its handicap accessible and its not and handicap park I laugh. But the biggest issue was the bed bugs. That is where I drew the line and had to move. You could have had a good place had it not been for that and all the empty promises we heard to make repairs.

Fair rent and decent location. However maintance was slow to respond to serious issues as leasing office is off site. Neighbors across the street were regularly loud.
