Peppermill Apartments

•First red flag was when we got the keys. I had previously taken a tour of the apartment I was getting assigned and I pointed out all the things that had to be done/ cleaned and the “assistant manager” that always has an attitude reassure me that it was going to get done. Fast forward to the day of picking up the keys. NOTHING WAS DONE. The AC filter was black/ moldy, the fridge had some type of fruit flies dead inside, the dishwasher had a mug from the previous tenant and the walls of the kitchen were covered in grease. Mind you I cleaned the apartment before we left and they still charge me for a cleaning fee! Absolutely disgusting experience. My apartment had a full-blown rat infestation not one or two sightings, but multiple rats, droppings, and clear signs of them living in the walls. I reported it immediately, and instead of real action, I got delays, excuses, and ineffective treatment. I was basically forced to live in filthy, unsafe, and unsanitary conditions, and when I pushed for real accountability, management agreed to let me out of my lease early but still refused to refund my move-in costs, even though I’d only been there a few weeks. On top of that, they tried to shift blame by accusing me of being rude to staff, which is completely false and insulting. No one should have to live in a place where rats are your roommates and management gaslights you when you speak up about it. I w

I have lived at peppermill for 5 years and during my time there i absolutely loved it! Is it perfect? No but maintenance was pretty prompt with any issues I had. Front office staff has been great with any concerns I may have plus being close to everything was definitely the highlight. All in all, I would definitely recommend living here if you like being close to convenience and really quiet living!

Constantly having water or plumbing issues. Moved out and I patched up all the walls. They charged me for painting the walls and the patches on the wall because they hire outside contractors instead of using their own maintenance guys. So I lost a $250 deposit and was charge another $375 for painting. The management is terrible. The autopay system changed three times when I was there. HVAC systems are dirty and dusty. Constantly blowing out dust. Even with pest control so many roaches and ants. Place was the worst apartment I ever had.

I chose an apartment here specifically because of the view of the woods. I repeatedly told this to the leasing team members prior to moving in. Two weeks after moving in an enormous construction project began which not only removed the woods, but also had loudly beeping and banging construction equipment including bulldozers, excavators, dump trucks, wheel loaders, and more all working directly outside my window starting between the hours of 4:30 and 7 every weekday morning. This has been going on for over a month now. Whether this project is at the behest of Peppermill Apartments or not, I believe the leasing agents had the moral responsibility to inform me of this project prior to moving in but they kept that truth from me for their benefit
