Park at 500

THAT is BS. Park at 500 is horrible and the people are terrible. My family and I lived there since 2019. While we lived there, three different property management companies owned it, each one worse than the last. But the Housing Authority of DeKalb County was by far the absolute worst. It infuriates me when I keep seeing these articles about how they are just so great, doing transitional housing, and saving everybody. BS. As I said, I have been there since 2019, and the things that happened and the way that people were treated since last March when HADC took over were not only illegal in many cases, but they're definitely immoral. I paid my rent in March when they took over, and then in April, they refused to accept it, because I was already in court with the previous owners. However

Zero stars!!! I would not recommend moving here. It's a DIY property. From fixing the basic essentials to heavy lifting objects like the stove and refrigerator. To securing your apartment from thrives. Because they only provide entry door knobs. Plus, anyone off the street (Memorial Dr./Village Sqare Dr.) can enter the building. Even though majority of the apartments are boarded up, people can easily get in them through these weak breakable floors. And they are not pet friendly and hate if your pet uses the restroom on their lawns. Not to mention they have hidden cameras in every room (including the bathroom) in each apartment. I have been here long enough to watch management change 4 times and I must say this is the best property management team yet! Kevin, Monique, Ms. Roberts, Tia, Ali, Antonio, and everyone else knows exactly what they are doing and they are very courteous and professional. I have no outstanding work orders and the neighborhood has improved tremendously over the years. Thanks so much for your hard work and dedication! Bravo 👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽

These apartments are the worse. They don't answer phone. I thought about renting here, so I did a pop up to see how the property is kept. And OMG! They dont pick up trash, even though they charge trash valet, mind you I came on different days to see if the trash I took photos of before was picked up and no just more added to it. The halls smell so bad and there are insects galore so many bugs and trash in the halls. That was a turn off for me because I can just imagine how the inside is maintained. I would not suggest anyone move here unless you are DESPERATE. These apartments are so expensive and gross. I can go on but you can see for yourself with the pics I posted. ***Update 9/12 they still haven't picked up the trash

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I understand that the company recently took over from the previous negligent property owners, but they are doing no better. I have called time and time again with complaints of a leak and mold in my unit. I have a NEWBORN residing here and am still expected to pay rent in full, on time. I can no longer take this neglect because at this point my unit is inhabitable. It has been molding and leaking non stop and there have been maintenance issues from day one of move in. I give up on this community. It has been 4 months and I can no longer stand living in this unit as it’s impacting the health of everyone who steps foot in my unit .
