Renting with Oak Summit: 5 month review as of June 2025 We spent a few months looking for a place to rent and Oak Summit happened to have a listing we were interested in. Easy to schedule a showing, were flexible with our work calendars. Let us take time to consider our decision after application was approved. Ended up renting the place and their online payment portal was easy to use and had a renters' insurance option built-in for a fair price. Standard CA lease terms, fair market value for the location. They were very responsive when the dishwasher door hinge broke right after we moved in (no fault of ours, looked like an old MacGyver fix that fell apart after a few uses) and ended up replacing it entirely at no cost to us. No other maintenance issues so far. Would recommend them to

TERA ESCROW COMPANY is the closing firm for Oak Summit. Lisa Donavan is the escrow Officer. She was horrible to deal with throughout the process. How she got a license is beyond me, as she was incompetent for the duration of Escrow. 1. Lisa failed to provide a detailed final settlement agreement for my taxes. A 1/2 point was paid to lower the interest rate - but that did not get represented on the final. 2. Lisa promised to record a deed to my Trust after closing. My sister was present and heard her promise, as did I. She later reneged and want to charge $250 for filling in 8 lines or so on a quit claim form. 3.
