Oak Park Apartments

Not too long ago, we lived at this apartment and had an unpleasant experience. During our tenancy, we experienced treatment that we believed was coercive and discriminatory based on a protected class under fair housing laws. We filed a complaint with the State of Oregon agency that enforces housing anti-discrimination laws. After investigating, the agency issued a finding of probable cause that discrimination had occurred. The matter was ultimately resolved through settlement to avoid an administrative hearing (similar to litigation, similar to a civil lawsuit but initiated by the state of Oregon). The investigative records are public, and anyone with interest may request them from the state. I do not recommend living here. Parkwest Apartments, a few block away, is a better alternative.

Harassing. There was a man that was supposed to do pest work entering my friend’s apartment when we were doing homework and had unwelcoming behavior.

I really enjoyed my stay here since 2019 and moving out in the end of July. The only thing I can say is that I had my bathtub lever broken due to water corrosion since May and won’t be fixed until I leave since the pandemic. I’m just worried that it will affect my security deposit. (Update): They didn’t take money for my security deposit but did take money from cleaning which is understandable. Overall, I had a positive experience with them! They’re really communicative and are pretty fast at responding to any work orders!

Would not recommend. Facilities are dirty and never checked. There is no one on the property, like no one even in the office they have. So nothing gets done fast. Lady named Jessica is rude over the phone and very defensive, super unhelpful. Only thing I can say is that the apartment is spacious, but a little over priced considered appliances are General Electric and 40 years old.

I enjoy living here, but don't suggest for over 3 years. They will hike rent. Internet can be included in rent which is one of the best parts!
