We now have a $6000 water bill in collections from water that we did not use on a property we bought that was incurred before closing. Utilities were pulled several months before closing; between that time and closing a huge water bill was incurred. Utilities should have been pulled again right before closing, but they did not do this. Read the fine print. We paid to make sure something like this didn't happen, but now we're left holding the (very expensive) bag. We put our trust in them and definitely did not get the protection we paid for. Sadly, we're left on our own. Reached out several times after closing and they took no responsibility but put it on the Water Dept, so we were just left to spend hours bouncing from calls, on hold and without anyone to be on our side. $6000 may not be
