Murphy Station Apartments

Really rude leasing office lady I am writing to make a complaint that the lady who greeted us on Friday afternoon was very unwelcoming and rude. Of course she didn’t mention her name or introduce herself. Sure we are a bit late cause we have a 3month baby and her time of feeding was a bit unpredictable. But I don’t think we deserves that attitude. What’s worse? We drove 30 min to tour the apartment. The first thing she mentioned was that the room didn’t have an elevator and it’s in a different building. Is it fun to wait others time? Why didn’t her tell us earlier?

I recently moved out of my apartment and was shocked by the excessive and unjustified cleaning charges from the management’s vendor. During the initial move-out inspection, most of these high extra charges were not mentioned, yet I was later hit with a $955 cleaning bill plus $239 for painting—far beyond reasonable market rates. Their standard cleaning (which includes carpet shampooing) is listed at $280, but I was instead charged $320 for deep cleaning, $140 for carpet shampooing (separately), and an outrageous $495 for itemized cleaning of the oven, refrigerator, microwave, bathtub, and more—things that should have already been included in the deep cleaning service. I stayed at Murphy station apartments for 2 years in both 2B2B and 1B1B over time, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were lucky to receive special pricing. The building is new and well maintained. Never had an issue that was not resolved on time. Ryan and Ana were managers during our time, and they were really nice to work with and helped us with our requests over time. There are plenty of amenities and they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition. I did miss not having a way to allow guests access into the apartment and had to physically go down and open the door for them. But apart from this, most of my experience was good with nice amenities, good neighbors and friendly staff.

Our time at this community has been nothing short of amazing, and we will be moving out shortly. The views, gym, and amenities have all exceeded our expectations. The maintenance staff has been excellent, though we’ve encountered very few issues during our stay. Special shoutout to Ryan, who was always responsive whenever we reached out. While the price is on the higher side due to the location and amenities, we were thrilled to get a good deal. Highly recommend!

When provided with my move out charges, I asked to speak to management and was immediately denied the opportunity. The property manager is out on leave but it’s disappointing they don’t have someone covering until his return. The cleaning receipt provided to me has no information on it correlating with my apartment address. The address provided on the receipt is tied to another apartment complex; Innovia Apartments in Fremont, CA. How can one be charged for a full clean, when I did clean & return the unit in good condition. But I didn’t even receive a clean unit upon move-in? I lived in the home for 2 1/2 years, there’s normal wear and tear to be expected. See attached timestamped photos of how I received my home on move in day. A little messy to say the least.
