Mountain Lake Apartments

I am a resident of this community over five years. Previously it used to be named as Summit by the Lakes. I must say, during the previous management, the facilities were much better compared to now. Now they are only focusing on increasing rent and without providing any facilities. Inside the house, the new windows are not installed properly due to faulty insulation biting cold air enters into the room. Faucets leaking, the doors of the kitchen cabinets are falling. Even if ask for maintenance, they do some temporary fix which lasts for only few days. No maintenance for the washer and dryer which are in common space. The most dangerous part is they don’t clean the snow during winter. During previous management, even if it is midnight, they immediately clean the roads after a snowfall. But

I have lived here almost 15 years now. I love the building I live in … all the neighbors are like family. We all look out for each other. We have been through 3 different owners and The staff is always great. The last few years, the staff has gone out of their way to have events for the residents, it gives you a chance to meet people who live in the other buildings.

Apartments are nice and staff are very responsive. I live on a first floor apartment and I’ve had multiple water leaking issues. Maintenance has come to fix the issue in a timely manner but I continue to have the same issue with water leaking from the balcony above. Other than this issue the complex is in a great location if you are going to be working in downtown Scranton or close to it. Community is quiet and haven’t had any issues with the people living around me

As far as apartment living it is a very comfortable place to live. Nice facilities, quiet, great neighborhood, and the maintenance crew is on point. Carol in the office is a joy to work with and will go above and beyond to help in any way she can! My wife and I lived here while our new was being built, and management was very accommodating to our situation. I must say mountain lake apartments was a great place to live! As far as apartment living my wife and the 2 dogs were extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this establishment for a place to live!

DO NOT MOVE HERE! They send nasty threatening emails constantly. One email even threatened to charge extra on the rent to pay their roto rooter bill because someone was flushing things down the toilet that didn’t belong. Why would a whole building be responsible for what someone else does in their apts? Don’t be fooled by the remolded apts… Everything falls apart or either breaks down. My bottom floor balcony have disgusting mold because when it rains it rains inside the balcony because of the old siding on the building . I can’t wait until my lease is up these ppl won’t get another dime out of me. Stray cats everywhere because someone in one of the buildings feeds them so on an average you may see 20/30 cats hanging around continuously having babies . So be careful if you have children o
