Monarch at Dos Vientos

We lived there for 2 years! Two people. 2 cats. We cleaned the place before we moved out and left it looking really good. They took 1400$ of our security deposit.. and when we moved in the carpet was filthy.. a week after moving in all the stains became apparent. They put some type of spray so you don’t see the stains until you’ve lived there for a month or so. Our friend lived in the exact same apartment that we moved out of and said the same exact stains were there when she moved out.. and when we moved out. They scam you out of your money. Love the environment and Tiffany is cool too. I don’t like being taken advantage of for our security deposit though… 1400… for painting the walls? We left it spotless. Tiffany is great. There is some sketchy situation happening with the bills, our electricity bill was double in our apartment compared to our 5 bedroom home. They clean the carpets and that lasts for around 3 months and then the stains reappear and they charge you for it on the move out. Love the property and the people, but don't expect any money back regardless of how clean you are.

The move-out process was very easy. The Office Manager was very thorough and took her time to explain the process. She is and has been for the two years I lived at Monarch, an outstanding manager, who has consistently provided excellent service. Her staff is equally competent and posses an admirable work ethic, which I appreciated very much during my time at Monarch. The work orders are handled in a timely and efficient manner, and the grounds are maintained nicely.

Don’t expect to be told treated well if you live here. Management is all about saving money and taking more of yours. Your carpet will not be cleaned, even if it’s been over 3 years or they ruin it during a “repair”. The amount of disruptions because of the faulty fire system is intrusive and unreasonable. Management talks in circles and will not respond to any issues you have. If they do, they are completely unreasonable or responsive to the actual issue. The responses to negative posts on here are a joke!

Staff are really responsive. They do great with maintenance requests. My move-in was smooth. I made a request before my move-in date that they were able to fill. The staff are super nice. They are accommodating (within reason), and it was a pleasure to live there.
