Mission Road Studios

I strongly advise against renting property from Mission road Studios for the reasons I state below, which constitute my understanding and recollection. I lived there for exactly one year. When I moved in, the deposit was $300. Now, it’s reduced to $99 for new tenants. I doubt you will get your deposit back, regardless of how thoroughly you clean and make sure the studio is spotless. My fiancé, her best friend, and my family spent over a week scrubbing, wiping, and cleaning the entire studio from top to bottom. We even returned it with a clean carpet. When I moved in in July 2024, I found a studio that was not only dirty but also had torn carpet and carpet that needed to be stretched. I don't even need to live here to give a full review, but I'll leave a transparent one so that anyone considering this place doesn't waste their time and money. I visited on December 16, 2025, for a tour and submitted an application since it was free. Marilyn was great to talk to and did her best to get me approved for a studio apartment. However, while waiting for the background check results, Nick (who I assume is the manager) came into the office and started yelling at his employees right in front of me. The room included Marilyn, Nick, another leasing agent who was being yelled at, and a maintenance worker. I moved into Mission Studios due to the location and friends being right around the corner and close to work in 2018. I had problem with the Studio not being ready, the doors having broken frames, kitchen not all the way cleaned carpets that wasn't shampoo, Closet door had holes and the walls being half-way painted and this was on move in day. The first year nothing was fixed, and I had termites and roaches on which they don't spray. The 2nd year I fixed some of the small problems and then the owner decides to raise the rent because he just repaves the parking lot. The rent went from $595 to $650 then 6 months later to $700. I moved out in June 2021 my next door Neighbors had bugbeds I treated that apt and did a better job at getting the studio ready for the next person. I've been waiting

I'm a knight and day difference... They never fixed anything in the year I was there..... Tried working for them for a month just to help repair some of the apartments.... They didn't pay me And I quit.... Never saw anyone work there longer than two weeks cause they rip people off by not paying then and they quit .. They raised the rent from $800.00 to $950.00 in the year I was there.... There are obvious stolen cars parked in there to parking lots. There are obvious drug dealers living in some of there apartments. There trash facilities are absolutely atrocious and stink. And you may get to have

Where do I start?! I want to start by saying that all of the terrible reviews left by people were left BEFORE my SUPER amazing property manager came on board! Sid is several cuts above any leasing agent I’ve ever had experiences with, & I’m no spring chicken!!! Although he’s not a pushover, he is very kind & compassionate about meeting the needs of we tenants! Other tenants around the property has voluntarily voiced to me, how much they like Sid & how much better things are across the board, since he has joined the team! Sid is one of very few apartment managers, who walks about the property, wearing many hats, going as far as picking up trash & working his tail off! He is leasing these units right & left, with very few left! That says that Mission Road Studios has most definitely gone up
