It was a horrible experience. My daughter turned in her key to one of the properties they own and manage on 10/31 and was told she would get her $368.75 deposit back in the mail. We gave it a few months, thinking it would take time. We called four times in January and were told it usually only takes 30 to 45 business days. Management said it was a new bank systems issue, and the owner had to wait on the bank because 30 checks had been sent back. According to management, the bank made a mistake. In the course of this, we've learned from other college students who had rented from them that they NEVER got their deposits back. The lady named Linda finally called me on January 23rd and said the owner wanted to verify our new mailing address because he was putting the check in the mail. Well, w

I would put a negative star if possible. My daughter rented from them. During a storm her front door came off the hinges. she called and got no answer, even from the emergency number. We had to rehang the door ourselves. There was a hole in the floor - it had a missing floor grate. She wrote that on the check-in list. They never fixed, we had to buy a new vent and cover a hole in the wall where a mouse got in the house. She turned in her notice and and moved out. They kept the entire deposit because she gave a 28 day notice instead of 30 - 2 days short. They never fix any repair notices or anything. This is the worst company I have dealt with in Ruston. We used them because we were new to town and didn't know who to go to, but I will tell everyone I know to NEVER use Gilbert Rea

Update: It's morning and no one has showed up. If you have an after hours emergency and you live in Rain Tree don't count on anyone coming out in the rain or after 11pm. One of my relatives (college student) asked me for help because it literally looks like it's raining in her apartment, but she lives in a downstairs unit. We called the after hours emergency number, and Linda proceeds to tell me that her maintenance guy won't come out in the rain. He lives 45 minutes away. She said she has no one else that she could send out because it's after 11pm. I asked what about her...where is she and could she check it out and at least give the tenant a bucket or something. Absolutely horrible. Tried to hold security deposit for months just saying "maintenance guy was busy". When we moved in there were literal bugs smooshed into the walls and it was disgusting after we asked several times they do the bare minimal amount of cleaning. They will try to charge you for things you didnt do. TAKE PICTURES AND RECORD ALL PHONE CALLS. They will try to lie I guarantee it. Just look at everyone else reviews

Absolutely the worst reality company in northeast louisiana. They will not give your deposit back even if you give your 30 day notice. They are not open on the days that the notice is due, and then charge you a whole months rent. They also break their lease when they do not take care of the property as it states in the contract. We have had a ant problem for the past 4 months that has gone unfixed. They did nothing to fix it . The staff is absolutely terrible and rude to work with. Would never rent with them.
