LightHorse 4041 Apartments

Beware of noise and a poorly maintained landscape around the property. I’ve lived here for about 5 months in a unit that faces North looking out on E Kenmore Pl. I am frequently woken up and disturbed while working from home by trucks backing up to the Metro Market dock. Between this noise and a view of a dumpster behind Metro Market (which has been full for 3 weeks), I have been unable to enjoy my balcony during Wisconsin’s limited summer season. Although LightHorse claims to be a smoke free community I have also been very disappointed to find cigarette buds littered around the front entrance and along the side of the building. I seldom post reviews online, however I feel that the premium I have been paying to live in this community has not been reflected in the quality of my experience o

We lived at LightHorse for 2.5 years and had a truly memorable experience. The building is located in a peaceful and vibrant neighborhood, with easy access to everything Shorewood has to offer: Walgreens, UPS, USPS, Metromarket, and the Green Line bus plus 10 min walk to lake. The management team is friendly, responsible, and always willing to help, making it a comfortable and secure place to call home. The apartment itself was clean, well-maintained, and offered beautiful views, especially from the west-facing balcony, where sunsets were absolutely stunning. The landscaping and design of the building add a calm, welcoming atmosphere. We also had great neighbors, which made our time there even more enjoyable. I have, for quite some time, been an admirer of the designs of Mandel Properties. They are all so beautiful-exquisite taste on design on the part of this company. So finally, I am living in a Mandel Property-Lighthorse 4041 Apartments. I have a beautiful sunset -every nite-view facing west. Oh- cann't forget to mention the beautiful windows! Our beautiful Manager Kim is so warm & kind to those lucky enough to live here. Come & see for yourself! Thank you to all the staff-I so appreciate you!

Lighthorse is a wonderful community. My husband and I moved from a different corporate apartment building (no affiliation w Mandel or Lighthorse) on the lower east side because we were concerned about crime in that area. Kim made our move and transition as seamless as possible. We loved the area and our neighbors in Shorewood. We recently moved (to buy a house) and there is so much we will miss about Lighthorse. Kim is an absolute gem. She is kind, responsive, helpful, and just excellent at her job. We can’t say enough good things about her. If you are looking for a beautifully updated and maintained apartment in a safe neighborhood and well-managed building, look no further!

Lived here for two years and I loved it. Maintenance responds fast & they always get the job done. Amy is my favorite she’s the sweetest in the office. Quiet, spacious and friendly. Neighbors mind their own business lol and everyone speaks when they see you in the hall. I had a couple that lived in the apartment next to me which they moved out before me but they always offered helping out with my kids if needed. They had the same last name as me but we were not related which was cool. Overall a great experience living here at the light horse.
