LGI Homes - Second Creek Farm

I’m am utterly disappointed at the way James, the supervisor, was towards my boyfriend and I. We had a meeting with Fonz, who was great by the way, and James took over the meeting. There was so many things that was said that was very inappropriate and racist. We are first time home buyers and we just preparing for what is to come in the next few months. We felt pressured to hurry up and lock in with a house. There were comments made about immigration laws and I don’t think any of that pertains to the reason we were there. Which is to see houses. You cannot see any houses without your credit being ran. What if I wanted to see twenty houses, am I supposed to let everyone run it. I really loved the community but the way we were treated by James has made us decide to look elsewhere.

Loved Abigil and Jesse. The service is exceptional. However, we went with a different company for our purchase because we liked the houses better with a different builder.

Not one to usually leave a Google review.. I closed on my house in June of 2021, the buying process was fairly easy and simple. Cynthia the realtor for LGI was extremely friendly and welcoming. I came out to my lot almost daily to watch the progress of the build and was very unsatisfied with the work. The studs used to build the home were seconds, at best.. you could see all the notes from inspection/other workers to fix things, replace this, etc. During my walk in I picked out many things that needed fixed- paint on the floors, closet doors off the tracks, a light in the bathroom wasn't working and other minor things. We’re not usually the type to leave negative reviews, but we felt this was important to share and pass along for those thinking about buying LGI. We closed on our house in 2020 and loved our new home while it held up. But, over the last year and a half (while still being very new) we started experiencing issues that seem to be caused by a quick and careless build. Not only have we had issues with our interior such as baseboards bubbling/lifting/cracking, and countertop/tile sealant not holding up, we have had a major roof leak due to the attic not being sealed properly by the builder. We had interior wall damage, as well as standing water in our crawl space, but worst of all, the leak led directly into the outlet where our water heater plugs in. Talk about danger!
