Legacy at Audubon Crest

Genuinely the worst place I’ve ever lived, when we moved in we had roaches, a broken ac unit, and a leaky dishwasher. The dishwasher was the only thing that was fixed after a month or two of hounding the front office. It was so bad we ended up breaking our lease and moving out early. This place is honestly the last place I would consider moving into, cannot NOT recommend it enough.

The office manager is extremely rude and has no interest in helping residents when they call about issues in the apartments. She threatened to block me after calling only once. Some of the issues we had were the air conditioner not working properly resulting in very high power bills, a leaking roof, and other things that they’re in charge of fixing. There is mold on the walls due to an old AC unit that they didn’t want to replace. We had water damage to the roof and the paint peeled off and damaged a lot of our property. All they did was paint over it so it’s splotchy, and it took them a few months to actually fix the problem. The apartment complex was without a maintenance person for months. The complex was full of roaches and stray cats. The tubs were gross. The dumpsters are always over

Our lease expires in three months, and we can hardly wait. Please be warned, there are serious issues at this complex. It’s July, and our AC has been out since April. Even with the window unit we purchased, temperatures indoors have been in the high 80s. It took us about a month to get the office/maintenance staff to take a look at the AC. Since then they’ve been “trying to get approval” to purchase and install a new unit. In addition to this, the grass goes weeks without being mowed, the dumpster overflows regularly, and electrical issues aren’t addressed, resulting in a lack of adequate lighting around the buildings. It’s pitch black outside our building at night, and we don’t feel safe going up and down the stairs without a flashlight. Despite all this, the rent is incredibly steep. Man

Bugs bugs bugs, its terrible. They don't even power wash the buildings. There are so many spiders and their webs all over. The car wash is filthy and black and filled with water. The car wash has been broken since memorial day. There is mold around the window frames and black stuff in your toilet. I absolutely can't wait to move.

Update: Jan. 6, 2020 As a current resident of Audubon Crest, I am choosing to update my review—from 1 to 4 stars—based on recent experiences that I have had with the new management company (new owners of property since around August 2019). Here are the changes: 1.) If something needs repair, the current management will actually provide quality repairs in a timely manner, such as the breezeway light that had been out of commission for—how long? 1 year?—before they took over property ownership (see old post.) Yeah, the new company fixed it almost immediately. (Thank you, new management!!) 2.)
