Kirkwood Place Apartments

I really enjoy my stay at the Kirkwood Apts. I love Denise so much that I started off living at Clifton Place Apartments and then transferred to the Kirkwood. The staff is so friendly and responds quickly to maintenance requests. I haven't had any bad experiences at all. Denise makes it hard to want to leave. Thanks for all you guys do to make living here refreshing.

Affordable and decent on the inside however they don't do a good job keeping the area clean with it being only 2 complexes. Landscaping (fresh mulch) and power washing. Also it's loud especially if you stay near the stairs. For example I hear kids stomping and running on the stairway. The walls are super thin therefore it's easy to hear those specific things. The rent office do not want any responsibility in terms of helping to improve noise complaints. To top it off parking is terrible! The first two years of living here was pretty good but since management change things have gone down hill. I would not recommend these apartments to someone who cares about those things. I give it two stars due to price and the inside layout.

Lived here for about a year. Would not recommend. Within the year none of my maintenance request were fixed. They charge you every month for pest control but pest control never came out within the year I lived there but bugs are everywhere! Even had a roach issue they I had to go buy products to get rid of them myself and I’ve NEVER in life had roaches before. Parking is horrible, within the first month my car and several other residents cars were towed because they was no parking and we all had no other choice but to double park. You walk out your door and the smell of the community stinks! There’s no way the rent should be the price that it is for this place you can get a luxury apartment with amenities for the price they are charging.

I have been a tenant at Kirkwood Place for over 6 years, and during that time my apartment was subject to one inspection. Now that Red Stone Management Company has assumed the managing of Kirkwood, the tenants are being subjected to multiple inspections without cause. My apartment was just inspected in August 2021, and now it is yet again being inspected in October. This is complex wide because the owner of the property wants it done according to RedStone. This is a follow up. I lived at Kirkwood Place for almost 8 years. It was sold to Upstream Investments in 2022, and managed by Apartment Dynamics. My rent went up from $997 to $1,350 per month for no reason when my lease expired. In addition they are now charging a prorated amount of pest control, waste pick up, as well as water. A

I moved out over a month ago and still do not have my security deposit. When I asked manager, Denise, and regional manager, Mike Lucas, today why I have not received my $850 security deposit, they claimed not to know, call someone else. Mike even said they are not required to follow the law and return it to the tenant within 30 days of vacancy. I moved out due to extreme rent increase of $565 per month more. I was a long time resident at Kirkwood, over 8 years. I have had a very poor experience with this management company, Apartment Dynamics.
