Kingswood Apartments & Townhomes

I decided not to renew my 12 month lease year. Let me give everyone a full review on what went down during my 12 months here. I ignored all the reviews about mice because this is my first apartment and I just wanted something cheaper in the area. Please do not be like me. They have a serious mice problem. I cannot speak for roaches, but I have told the Kingswood office numerous times that I had mice in my unit. All the exterminator did was put down traps, but the mice kept coming. Also, please document everything because on move out, they will try to charge you for things and take your security deposit , they also will charge you on that. I have lived at Kingswood Apts for over five years and, the maintenance staff, including Alex and Keith are absolutely wonderful! They are so kind, prompt, and really professional! During this heavy snow, Keith plowed behind my car to ensure I was able to exit my parking spot, and Alex was so kind and had extra rock salt and sprinkled it around all the snow which piled up around my car. I was so grateful and cannot say enough good things about the maintenance staff and Alex and Keith

If I can give 0 stars I would lived here for 2 years, and honestly the experience was exhausting and incredibly frustrating from start to finish. We dealt with multiple leaks during our time there, and one of the worst incidents involved water coming through our ceiling from the upstairs toilet — not just clean water, but toilet water with waste in it — which ended up in our bathroom when the ceiling collapsed. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable to have contaminated water entering our living space, yet the seriousness of it felt minimized. Ongoing leak issues also raised constant concerns about mold, and instead of feeling reassured, we felt like we were overreacting for expecting basic safety. Honestly would give this place zero stars if I could. Apartments are old and disgusting. Yet they keep raising the rent. Maintenance never actually does what they are supposed to do, like why do I have to basically stand over you to ensure you do your job correctly. And the leasing office is terrible, they don’t take anything seriously. Don’t know how to do their jobs, just absolutely useless. Don’t waste your time here. Zero stars.

Got the chance to stop by and check out some of the available rooms at Kingswood. Suffice to say, I am pleased with the level of quality of units compared to surrounding areas. A lot of these newer developments rates are astronomical, I'm talking $2100-$2200 for a 1 bedroom apartment!! I saw an updated unit for $1600 a month and its comparable for a $500 monthly discount. the staff was very thorough during the tour, answering my questions and putting in the work to find out if they didn't. If you're looking for apartments in the area, the least you could do is check the place out.
